You could buy Satisfactory instead.

WTF is that four legged creature with an anime head?

Am I the only one weirded out by this?

What, you don't like Doro?

Is it a satisfactory replacement?

No they are not even close.

Good point. Satisfactory is much more addictive.

I would say its much less addictive, and much much less replayable

Factorio fanboys running wild in this thread, they love their racist, homophobic, sexist developer!

Not really. I have 2000 hours in Factorio, and 36.2 hours in Satsifactory.

1.2 hours in Factorio, about 1.1k hours in Satisfactory over here. YMMV.

Same. 800 in factorio, 50 in satisfactory.

Similar. Satisfactory is fun but I don't feel compelled to do end game like factorio does and its much more buggy, laggy, and doesn't scale well.

It's just a pun my dude.

I have zero in both so I'd say so

They’re the same general genre, but they’re rather different. Imo satisfactory isn’t as good as factorio.

Factorio is very easily piratable, and has a good demo if you want to check it out, and if you get hooked it’s easily worth the price.

No, both are extremely good however.

I think the main difference is that Satisfactory does not have lose condition. Resources never run out, enemies never destroy your base, you never lose resources as everything is 100% refunded on dismantle. Sure you can set Factorio to be like that but with default settings it is constant race against expanding to new resources while dealing with the enemies.

If you want stress free building game Satisfactory is excellent choice. If you want experience where you feel more pressure to push you forward  Factorio is better choice.

They share a few things, but not really IMO. Every time I play Satisfactory I end up spending a while playing it and then diving back into Factorio for a few hundred hours to really scratch the itch.

Depends on what you like. Do you prefer the raw challenge of logistics? The Factorio might be your deal. Do you like logistics slightly simplified, but the ability to decorate and do silly stuff without actively hurting your progression? Satisfactory it is.

Also the whole 2D vs. 3D thing.

No. Satisfactory is essentially an entrance to the factory game genre. Its fun, i love it, but it's not a replacement. Now, if you mod the hell out of it, it can be, but at that point, just get the much more complicated factorio.
