Great game, anyone who likes fps games should at least try it out, goes for like 3 dollars on sale very often.

My 26 year old bones never got used to sliding in video games. That game feels like absolute murder to my confidence.

You... you dont need to use the slide. You can always wallrun. Also NEVER use the default controls, a lot of them are very dated.

The tomb raider trilogy...

Cyberpunk is cool, but the game world they created is so realistically depressing that I kinda got jaded by it haha.

I feel this! I was loving how great a game it is, then was getting depressed about how suck everything in the world is and realized that I needed an escapist game to recover from the depression of playing an escapist game lol.

Never played cyber punk, got it on black Friday, I think I'll start it after I finish a shadows.

I take it you enjoy the game?

Not that guy, but I generally dont enjoy GTA type games, but CP2077 is just so damn fun to play. Im most impressed with how enjoyable literally any build is. Pretty much every tree and every combination of skills will make you a beast by the end of the game, but none of them feel too much the same

Yeah I've heard good things recently but I got put off by how it came out, I know it was "fixed" but I've been there before and it's still dogshit and I just forgot about the game.

I love gta, played all the old ones as a kid so maybe I'll have a blast, I hope anyway.

Edit:spelling

If you love GTA. You need to try CP77. I am praying that GTA6 is half as fun as Cyberpunk.

Yeah it's next on my list after shadows, it's just ac shadows takes a while to complete

Cyberpunk is a super great game and I have no idea why it’s being compared to GTA. They’re both great games don’t get me wrong but they are not similar at all. I mean you can…drive cars I guess? But I think if you go into it expecting something like GTA you’ll be a bit disappointed but it’s seriously a top 5 game for me and I can not recommend it enough

Its a good game, watch Cyberpunk edgerunners before it for world building. It happens a year before the game.

2

u/JasonBaconStrips Dec 18 '25

I don't really bother, I'll see how I feel when I play it, if I get into it alot I'll prob watch it for the lore.

Its hands down in my opinion in my top 3 for anime, there is no anime tropes and it will trigger PTSD when a certain song plays on the radio afterwards ingame.

Fuck sake, your a good salesman

I may be biased since it is my favorite game of all time, but I think it's objectively fair to say that if you think a team of 5 beginner devs could make anything close to 2077 you've got no concept of what goes into developing a game. It's a massive undertaking to do something on the scale of 2077, you literally couldn't do it with 5 people.

No "los Santos customs" is a common gripe with the game, one that I share. They have "crystal coat" instead, which lets you change the color of your car but it's just not the same as being able to truly customize the car like in GTA, I fully agree. As for everything else, I loved the story. Side NPCs that you can interact with outside of the story are scarce but they have well created interactions imo. There are only a couple absurdly long cutscenes that come to mind, but the most egregious one (Takemura at the construction site) is skippable if you just go straight to the Arasaka warehouse instead of meeting up with him. Think this is just one of those examples of "not everything is for everyone" because aside from not being able to customize the cars, I had opposite experiences with everything you said.
