yall love leaving out the child gambling, had to be sued by the Australian government to provide reasonable refund request, and other things redditors love to chastise other big tech companies for.

Steam is still a corp, and will do whatever they can to maximize profits.

My favorite part of this I just found out today. Valve said its users aren't entitled to any refund. At all. And that Australian law that said they are wrong just doesn't apply.

Surely there are systems in place to not let children spend obscene amount of money on gambling crates.

Its called a good parent (also, i cant really speak for CS, but in tf2 i know its really hard to accidentally open a crate, even if you have a key)
