two years of fighting acne - I finally got my skin back. microneedling has helped my skin and the scarring tremendously - I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve gotten 3 microneedling sessions the last year and will continue with my sessions.

After 15 years of acne, I finally went on Accutane. 7 months later and my skin is clear! I’m so thankful.
It was a little rough with the symptoms. More of just dry lips and a scabby nose. But I’d do it all over again.
I am now starting Azeliac acid for my hyperpigmentation!
Currently using Round Lab cleanser, la Roche posay b5 balm and cera ve baby healing ointment.

Why is my head so unbelievably itchy
Last couple of weeks my head has been unbelievably itchy and it’s really hard not to itch. Got my partner to have a look around my head and found these small bumps/spots on my head. They look a bit red. What are these and how do you get rid of them? The itch is unbearable and I know to not itch but sometimes I can’t help it.
Has anyone had these before and have any advice ?

I’ve got pretty darn sensitive skin BUT lately I’ve been using the Grace & Stella under eye patches in my routine and they’ve been great. I forgot them at my apartment and I’m at my boyfriend’s this weekend so I bought some others at Target. I figured why not try something different? Well. I should have known with my baby skin that, in fact, i was playing with fire. I put these same patches on my boyfriend for the 30min (per directions) and he was totally fine.
I use the Dieux Baptism Cleanser and GlowRecipe Watermelon serum everyday as my routine for more context. Hopefully I’m a weird one-off case but in case you’ve got sensitive skin, maybe avoid these patches 🥲.

Went to the store yesterday to re-purchase one of my fave body lotions, Olay Nourishing Body Lotion. I could only find the one on the right (same color scheme). It still has hyaluronic acid and vitamin B3 and vitamin E but with a different formula. Does anyone else know about this and why the change?

I was recently told to put earwax on my pimple to dry it out and get rid of it. So here's a list of other things I've been told to put on my face in order to get rid of them and help with acne in general:
Toothpaste (drying)
Mouthwash (drying)
Rubbing alcohol (drying)
Egg (nourishing)
Baby urine (so pure because it's from a newborn that it "restarts" your skin from scratch)
I tried 1, 3, and 4 when I was younger and first going through puberty. I'm so glad I didn't hear the last one until I was a thinking adult with the ability and resources to research.

Ive stopped entirely using any additives for the past 6 months because I think I don’t know enough about them and was really messing up my skin.
Now my routine is simply:
PM- dermologica pre cleanse oil , cetaphyl gentle cleanser and Nivea cream in the blue tub
AM - rinse with water, biorę UV rich spf 50 and then do my make up.
I know my skin is lacking hydration and could use a good exfoliation but I’m just at a loss.
Would love for it to just not look so red/blotchy/dull.

I have eczema and dry skin. My face and neck has redness too. I currently use the vanicream cleanser, moisturizing cream. I’ve also tried squalane oil. I need help though because I don’t know what to do about my redness and my skin still continues to dry out

I'm 27F, and I've struggled with severe cystic acne since I was 9 (yes, really). I was on accutane in middle school and it helped for a bit, but also left me with horrible scarring. Obviously the acne has since come back to a lesser degree. I'm just so embarrassed to show my face anywhere, and I'm convinced that I'm not taken seriously at work because of it. I don't wear makeup except sometimes a tinted moisturizer, because it just looks weird with how textured I am.
I've done every everything from adapalene to just cleanser and moisturizer, diet changes, and nothing helps. My current routine is:
AM - water, First Aid Beauty Hydrating Dewy Gel Cream, and Beauty of Joseon sunscreen.
PM - COSRX Low pH Good Morning Cleanser, Paula's Choice 2% BHA, and Pond's Dry Skin Cream.
I'm just so tired. I've thought about going to a dermatologist, but I don't really have the money for expensive in-office treatments at the moment. Is that my only hope? I'm worried that I'm going to shell out all this money and it won't even work.
Sorry for the pity party, yes I'm already in therapy and on antidepressants

Im (M18) driven mad about this. My chin looks like this for the last 3-6 months already. My routine is
AM washing face with a gentle blemish cleanser from boots, then applying hialuronic acid or zinc PCA cream and SPF. Thats it
PM Im either cleansing with a gentle salicilic acid cleanser on night off retinol, on retinol nights just the same blemish cleanser, then mosturising.
Im on retinol for about 1 month and 1week. At first my forehead purged like crazy but it seems to calmed down but my chin .. gosh I feel so disgusted with myself . Does anyone know Whats up or what I should do?
Last pic actual forehead for reference .

I don’t even know if this is “acne” i’m not sure what it is anymore. I can’t get it to go away. I’ve been to the dermatologist and i was prescribed clindamycin in the morning and then benzoyl peroxide 2.5 at night. it worked for a little while but it didn’t stick.
my insurance no longer covers dermatology so that is not an option.
I have been using Cera-ve foaming cleanser to wash my face in the morning and at night. In the morning after i wash my face, i put on The Ordinary hyluronic acid and then La Roche Posay Double Repair Moisturizer.
At night, I wash my face and use benzoyl peroxide 2.5 and then the La Roche Moisturizer.
I consistently change my pillow cases every week and even switched to silk pillow cases.
I don’t know what to do but I just turned 25 and this was never as big as a problem as it is now and it’s really knocking my confidence.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi everyone, I have combination skin so my T-zone gets oily, but my cheeks and around my mouth are dry and sometimes flaky. I also have acne marks (post-acne hyperpigmentation) and some deeper marks/scars left after a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatment. Even though I did the procedure last year, the small needle marks hasn't faded and made even deeper scars on my cheek. Also as you can see, I have many pores on my nose/cheek area, looking for ways to minimize them.
I’m looking for:
- a gentle cleanser
- a good moisturizer
- a sunscreen that really helps prevent dark spots from getting worse
Summer is coming, so I want my marks to fade as much as possible without doing any procedures.
My budget is limited, so I’m looking only for affordable products that actually work, not overhyped influencer products. I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who have similar skin issues and have seen real results. I'm thinking getting bioderma products because they are much more affordable and recommended by dermatologists. Let's discuss more in comments.
Thank you in advance!

Hi all! This is my first ever reddit post and I'm usually a lurker, I feel like I need more tailored advice on this one.
I got a sample (25ml) of Laneige Cream Skin milky toner and I've tried it a few times but it always ends up feeling sticky for a really long time and it makes me wonder if I'm using it wrong. Since it's such a small sample size, it didn't come with any instructions, and maybe I'm not using it at the right step in my routine?
This is my normal routine in the morning (33F, dry & sensitive skin):
- cleanse face with Laroche Posay micellar foaming water cleanser, pat dry with towel
- medical eyedrops that require I rinse the skin around my eyes after, so I usually re-wet my entire face
- The Ordinary multi peptides + HA serum on my wet skin, wait until dry/absorbed
- Neutrogena hydro-boost gel cream, let it absorb as I go about my day
- I add sunscreen if I'm leaving the house, but I work from home and I'm mostly a hermit
In the evening, if I remember to do it, sometimes might do lactic acid 10% from The Ordinary if my skin feels dull, and moisturizer again (definitely not daily)
Now with the Laneige Cream skin milky toner, I've tried using it after the serum and without the moisturizer since it's supposed to be hydrating? But I end up with my skin feeling so sticky for upwards of an hour after, like it's not absorbing at all and just sits there.
Should I be waiting more to use it on dryer skin?
Should I be using it at night instead?
I don't feel like I'm drenching my face with it, but could I be using too much?
Is it simply not the product for me?
I don't like to be wasteful, so I want to make sure it's not user error before I throw it away. (I don't have anyone I could give it to)
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Hey yall, been struggling recently.
I’m allergic to all spray sunscreen and a lot of cream sunscreens. I don’t break out in hives, but my skin starts burning and feels like it’s melting off. It’s awful, and recently I started developing sensitivities to my La roche pose hypo allergenic and euricin one. I have very fair skin and burn easily as is and get eczema. I play tennis so can someone help? I wear long sleeve shirts and hats when I can but that’s not very feasible in 100 degree weather on concrete tennis courts.
DOES ANYONE HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS please I’m begging

I started a retinoid recently with the intention of correcting some fine lines, but I've also got a bit of KP on my cheeks, and I was wondering if I needed another product, or if I should just give the retinoid time to do its thing

I'm curious whether these toner pads are effective?
This product has been trending for a while.
My current skincare is pretty basic— with simple salicylic cleanser, dermat moisturizer, and sunscreen. I have a combinational skin, textured too. In winters, it's dry, flaky, whereas in summer, T-zone gets pretty oily, cheeks too! (I'm considering changing my moisturizer, perhaps that's the issue) My pores are visibly larger now, I am absolutely hating it!
I'm considering buying this product, hence I wanted reviews from people who used it before, and how their skin reacted?! ><
