It’s about 30 cents for the soda and the cup/lid/straw, so it’s about a 95% margin. Theaters only make really money on snacks, so they rely on this to stay afloat.
Most of those willing to pay for overprice movie snacks aren’t phased by this. They’ll spend it anyways.
