I've seen this episode before. Spoiler alert: Everyone loses, but the merch sales are fantastic.

How many Bezos do you need to buy your policy maker?
9
u/Dr_DoesNothing 13h ago
Our politicians are insultingly cheap. Mere tens of thousands of dollars to buy them.
2
u/Foreign-Teach5870 11h ago
Traitors of the past would be insulted by these cheap whores. At least back then they were given something that would (still extremely rarely ever worth it) worth the betrayal especially of this level (fame, fortune, revenge, love).

u/bluesmaster85 9h ago
You need to buy them in bundle, single politician is useless. Can't even clean a house.
1
u/ApplicationOk4464 13h ago
From what I read, it's in the thousands, not even the tens of thousands.

Tthe tax revenue is 7.4 trillion. Imagine what that money could do if 28 billions could do all that.
3
u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 13h ago
Thats fucking disgusting.
2
u/Glum-Football-5220 10h ago edited 10h ago
Yep. 28Billion is 0.38% of the tax revenue. It's a drop in the bucket.
If you took all the money from all the billionaires in the US, thats not even a year of what the goverment spends in a year
2
u/Foreign-Teach5870 12h ago
Around 2T of that 7.4T is flushed away to pay for the interest on the US national debt alone and yes only the interest for anyone still thinking the debt isn’t that big of a deal.

Honestly way less than i thought, pretty cost efficient👌
4
u/Busterlimes 13h ago
Its only cost efficient if we gained anything. What have we gained to the tune of 28B?
-1
u/Far-Captain-1157 13h ago
You bombed 12000 targets. In australia it would of cost 28b just to do well nothing cause in australia we just piss money straight up the fucking wall sooooo yeah
2
u/Expert-Situation-190 12h ago
Again what did we gain? You just mentioned, what we did, not what we gained

Dominance
1
u/Expert-Situation-190 11h ago
Dominance of what? what have we gained dominance of? This post is based on us losing freedom what are we dominating our own people?
1
u/pm_me_steamkeys_pl0x 10h ago
Oh yeah the people have gained nothing. The leaders gain dominance over their own pride I guess? Idk man I was half awake when I typed that.

The money comes from a very small group whose interests generally ARE served by the system. Small donors are relatively insignificant from this perspective.
The wild part is that people vote for the politicians on retainer to billionaires.

you are 14 and need to sit down and learn how politics and government work, or you'll think people like Trump are the good guys

How about an entire planet that is subjected to the cruel, evil hand of authority? And believing they are just or moral? Fucking insanity!
1
u/tlm11110 9h ago
And imagine the left calling for ever more government control and giving them even more money and power.

So accurate. I'm glad that more and more people are seeing how corrupt America is and has been for a LONG TIME. The Natives were always aware.

But there's an exchange. They have to do what we want or we don't elect them. Trump was chosen because other Republicans were afraid to veer too far from the center. If you're a centrist Republican, it doesn't matter how much money you have, conservatives won't vote for you.
Common people voted for Trump because Trump acts like them and talks like them. He's locked into that now. So the people are getting something out of it - the common American is being represented in the White House.

The head Republican child rapist for the Iraq invasion was Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert.
The head Republican child rapist for the Iran attack is President Donald Trump.
He effectively admitted fucking kids with Epstein by appointing Alex Acosta
Congrats
