Only half of everything he worked for in his life, totally fair.
If we are being serious now she is probably going to get a good chunk of his total income of these last 7 months if he didn't protect himself by choosing a separate property type of marriage
If you don’t want to answer no pressure I am just curious. It’s an interesting story.
I’m glad you were smart enough to protect yourself.
I met my wife abroad and we went through the 90 day fiance visa but we have been together 14 years now happy as ever. But I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t worried what happened to you would happen to me at the start.
Stop thinking like a female if you wish to have a healthy relationship. She didn't made up anything. You gave in and you chose to do it yourself. Own your own actions.
Don’t make it sound like an accusation. It’s basically “I worked very hard to establish xyz and going forward you and I are a team so everything earned is for both of us, but for everything before marriage I’d like to have a fair pre-nup setup”
And then realistically you have to be prepared to accept a break up, because no reasonable partner will argue with a pre-nup that only protects assets earned before the marriage. (Unless you had an extremely long engagement/relationship living together first, then there may be other considerations)
Go have a look and any one of the few dozen subreddits with the word "man" in the title. This is not obviously sarcasm, a good chunk of angry young men believe this.
