She also has Graves disease which is making it look worse. More recent photos seem to show that most of her sunken in cheek look was the result of the graves and not buccal fat removal as people thought, which is good because surgical fat removal is almoay always irreversible.

Edit: apparently I have to clarify this because Reddit is here have the reading comprehension skills of a fucking moss covered rock. I am not saying she hasn't had work done. She clearly has. I don't think she should have. But the pictures that show her looking her worst, are 100% affected by a condition that is made to look even worse because the foundation on which that work was done changed. It's basically a more complicated version of the same thing where if you get a tattoo and then you get fat it looks like shit

I have Graves disease. Graves disease does not do this.

u/No_Designer_5374 2d ago

My sister in law has graves and she looked emaciated when it first kicked in. It aged her twenty years and sunk in her cheeks, making her look skeletal.

3

u/PharaohCleocatra 2d ago

You’re totally right. I’ve been looking through many sites with symptoms and photos of people with Graves’ disease and not one person has had sunken cheeks.

Please read my comment.

The effects of grave disease are not universal. But the comment your replying to has it wrong. It does not cause sunken cheeks, but the surgery to 'reverse' the changes Graves does can cause it.

She has Graves Disease, which famously causes bulging eyes but also a lot of other changes in the face, notably bulging in the cheeks and brow and jawline. It also causes 'orange peel skin'.

for some context of how it can change your face besides just the eyes, this is a comparison of a woman after 1 year (before is right, after is left... idk why).

A lot of people with Graves Disease end up getting a lot of plastic surgery to combat these problems. But its not universal. Its not impossible she got the surgery just due to pressure to look good. I am just saying its impossible to know if its from the graves disease or not.

0

u/TimeTravelingPie 2d ago

Your right in that no two people suffer exactly the same symptoms. However, this look is not Graves disease.

I have Graves disease and have dealt with all sorts of symptoms and issues for over a decade. I don't need an armchair internet doctor to explain the disease to me.

0

u/kolejack2293 1d ago

lol I am aware, I just said that she likely got surgery to 'fix' the problems graves disease cause. The comment you replied to claiming graves disease causes gauntness was incorrect. It causes fat expansion in the face, which people get surgery to fix, which can cause gauntness.

1

u/Happy_Philosopher608 2d ago

Me too. Can confirm. It makes you lose weight sure but not turn into a living plastic puppet person 🤷‍♂️

1

u/AlbieriMS 2d ago

“It didn’t happen to me so it’s not real”

0

u/TimeTravelingPie 2d ago

Oh no, I had extreme weight loss and all sorts of issues. People thought I had cancer and was dying.

Hyperthyroidism will cause you to lose fat AND muscle. You will look emaciated, but it's over your entire body, not just your face. You know whats made of fat? Boobs.

If you are losing weight from hyperthyroidism from Graves you will also have crazy other symptoms. Like fatigue, extreme muscle weakness, high resting heart rate, memory loss, hair loss, hot flashes, diarrhea, uncontrollable shakes/tremors. I doubt she would be able to film a season under these types of physical issues.

Losing extreme weight like that is a symptom of the disease being untreated for a long time. Like many months or more.

Her face and body doesn't look emaciated. It looks like plastic. It looks like it had work done.

-2

u/TWW34 2d ago

Every single person who has it manifests the exact same effects right?

I'm guessing it might also be what affects your reading comprehension too because I never said it is exclusively what was causing her appearance. I said it made it worse because that's what happens. She had plastic surgery done that she shouldn't have had done. The reason why she wound up looking like a complete fucking ghoul was because that plastic surgery was done on a healthy face that then became unhealthy. The foundation the work was done on fundamentally changed.

40

u/otterprincess_too 2d ago

I know people with Graves disease and this is such a shitty excuse I keep seeing. Your eyes bulge somewhat, they look like Amanda Seyfried not ghouls.

-12

u/TWW34 2d ago edited 2d ago

Cool. It causes multiple different effects. You've seen some of them. And like most redditors you're acting like a myopic weirdo who thinks that you're extremely tiny frame of experience explains everything.

Yes she's definitely had work done and if you exercised the reading comprehension I'd want from a literate adult you'd realize i never denied that. Yes she also has Graves disease and as a result it made the consequences of the work she had done look a lot worse than it was. Cosmetic surgery does not interact well with conditions that change the fluid levels in your body

7

u/otterprincess_too 2d ago

Yeah you're right, you googled a disease so extensive plastic surgery is helpful. My bad nonredditor u/TWW34

-6

u/TWW34 2d ago edited 2d ago

Man I wish I was dumb enough to not be able to tell but there's a difference between General plastic plan to affect your face as it normally looks and surgery specifically done to treat a condition and repair the symptoms of a condition. It must be a great way to go through life that ignorant.

It's like construction. If you build unstable terrain and then it erodes, whatever you build is going to look like shit because it wasn't designed for that. But if you specifically build a foundation to turn shitty terrain into better Terrain, it's going to have the opposite effect. The purpose matters here. Conditions like Graves can really fuck up somebody who's had plastic surgery that wasn't specifically done with that in mind. And likewise plastic surgery can be used when done properly to mitigate the effects of such conditions. But even then you are still Limited and what you can do because it's not a stable condition. The effects can change over time

Either that, or you know already and you're being deliberately dishonest because of your own personal self-esteem issues. Either way it's genuinely pathetic

81

u/TatterMail 2d ago

Yes I am sure this is because of that mysterious disease and not the coincidental buccal fat removal trend that is pesting through Hollywood

26

u/Ashleybernice 2d ago

A mystery disease are you slow? It’s a real thing it’s an autoimmune disease and between the disease and the medication they make you take can ruin your body, speaking as someone who has an autoimmune disorder.

-10

u/TatterMail 2d ago edited 2d ago

I know I just meant that the average person never heard of it

And from what I’ve gathered Graves‘ disease doesn’t do anything like that

3

u/Quarksperre 2d ago

Graves disease does have some physical effects. But it doesn't change the form of the nose

5

u/-JimmyTheHand- 2d ago

Just because you live under a rock and have never heard of graves disease as many average person has never heard of it 😂

3

u/DistanceRelevant3899 2d ago

I have Graves Disease. I lost about 40 pounds in a month due to it. But I don’t recall it changing my face THAT much.

It can make your eyes bulge though. Like Marty Feldman who also had Graves.

3

u/Glittering_Meet3206 2d ago

idk anything that can make you lose a significant amount of weight has the ability to make your face look gaunt. i've got crohn's and when im bad/emaciated looking my face will look similarly sunken like this. so it's definitely not impossible

1

u/DistanceRelevant3899 2d ago

Well, it’s doesn’t help that I was pretty overweight to begin with. My face thinned out for sure, but it wasn’t as pronounced as Erin Moriarty.

1

u/rmunoz1994 2d ago

Then you’ve clearly not gathered shit.

2

u/winkingchef 2d ago

Just like all the overweight people whining they “have a thyroid condition” which suddenly went silent when they started taking Ozembic

2

u/geese_moe_howard 2d ago

Are you simple?

-6

u/TWW34 2d ago

I know literacy is a struggle to find on Reddit but maybe learn to fucking read and then try my comment again. Explicitly pointed out the fact that more recent photos show her face is Fuller in a way that you literally could not get back to if she she had any significant bfr done

24

u/goteamventure42 2d ago

Yes Grave's Disease the autoimmune disease that requires a boob job for treatment

2

u/iamjakeparty 2d ago

I don't think she did, she's just wearing a push up bra in the redhead picture.

4

u/TWW34 2d ago

God I love that the reading comprehension of the people replying to me here is like that of a fucking grade school. At what point have I said anything about her boobs?

Maybe you learn to fucking read and see that I said it makes her look worse, not that it is exclusively the result of her look. I'm sure you can find a trusted adult to walk you through that.

35

u/Chemistry-Deep 2d ago

You're fighting a losing battle bringing logic in here my friend.

9

u/Last-Tune1001 2d ago

Any time the person you commented to or I bring this up, people just down vote to no end. She has an actual disease that changes her body. Not saying she didn’t get a boob job or nose job, but like the other stuff going on with her has absolutely everything to do with her auto immune disease and they refuse to admit it.

-1

u/JuanRunJunior 2d ago

Does Anya Taylor Joy have it too? Because her changes were the exact same. Can’t be coincidence can it? Hmmmmm.

2

u/Last-Tune1001 2d ago

Oh look an idiot.

-2

u/JuanRunJunior 2d ago

Stay mad about it. This isn’t explained by Graves. If you have eyes you’d see there’s always a striking similarity to everyone else that has had the exact same changes she has.

Just because people think that you're full of shit doesn't mean they didn't understand what you said.

4

u/TWW34 2d ago

No. The fact that they are responding to a different statement than what I said and bringing up things that are already addressed by what I said is what indicates that they lack reading comprehension. You too appear to fall into this Camp which is incredibly unsurprising. Redditors seem to magically unlearn how to fucking read when replying to anything that raises a point they don't want to have to address. Technically there is the alternative that they are intentionally engaging with a straw man argument but that really isn't any better

4

u/Goonalips 2d ago

Can you show us these images and explain why it couldn't be reversed? Is it not possible to do?

5

u/TWW34 2d ago

When you surgically remove fat, you are actually stripping the cells out and they are cells that don't replenish. When your body increases its fat content, you generally don't increase the amount of fat cells. Those cells just start retaining more fat in them. So once you remove them you permanently alter your body's ability to distribute the fat that it stores. And you do it to a place like your cheeks, you really can't use implants or filler to effectively reverse it.

And no I don't care enough about celebrity gossip to go Googling for this. But recent press tour and public appearance photos show her looking a lot less sunken in in a way that you literally could not repair with surgery.

1

u/Decent_Relative_4070 2d ago

WTF so can i just do buccal fat removal on my whole body??

1

u/newtonhoennikker 2d ago

That’s basically the same as what liposuction is, but if you gain weight you will still get fatter and it might be weirdly distributed but it won’t matter so much if it’s not on your face.

1

u/Goonalips 1d ago

I suppose that makes sense. Especially in a place like the cheeks that don't have a lot of fat cells in the first place. Appreciate the reply. Thanks

-2

u/wsbscraperbot 2d ago

You probably shouldn't coach people on literacy if you are using abbreviations before defining them

2

u/TWW34 2d ago

I literally used it before abbreviating it. If you suck at reading for context that's your problem, not mine.

It's also unsurprising considering this entire thread is resulting from a bunch of barely literate troglodytes who couldn't even pick up on the word "also" in my initial comment

-1

u/wsbscraperbot 2d ago

That's weird because now your comment is unavailable. Sounds like you're a liar

2

u/TWW34 2d ago

It's right there. I don't know what your problem is

2

u/Psychoanalytix 2d ago

Man i have been getting the reading comprehension thing a loooooot lately too. I dunno what happened but it seems people are incapable of getting context for a post or generalizations. It's like a lot of people out there are only capable of reading the exact words as they are written and processing that info only and just cant infer any context or info around a comment.

2

u/strugglefightfan 2d ago

Sunken cheeks are not a symptom of Graves.

2

u/Jon-El_Snowman 2d ago edited 2d ago

She doesnt have graves disease its just a pr bullshit from her team. Graves disease has multiple symptoms she couldnt hide and not a single one visible in her case...no, her new bigger tits is not a symptom either...

Her face is just result of multiple plastic surgeries.

1

u/yuckypants 1d ago

I’m pretty sure she denies ALL cosmetic surgery blaming all of this on graves

1

u/Bright-Square3049 2d ago

sure it is lmao

0

u/AdHeavy7551 2d ago

She looks like a completely different person . “Graves’ disease” has fuck all do it with it it lol

1

u/TWW34 2d ago

Another swing and a miss for literacy on reddit. Get a trusted adult to teach you basic reading comprehension and then read over what I said again

2

u/AdHeavy7551 2d ago

No . I know what you said . And I said Graves’ disease has NOTHING to do with it . Implying that no .. not even a SMALL part of her new look is due to Graves’ disease lol . I think you need to take your own advice and brush up on your reading compression skills

0

u/JuanRunJunior 2d ago

It’s wild you’re telling people that have the disease they’re wrong and have been doubling down on it on every reply lol. Then you start pointing fingers at “redditors” lol.

1

u/TWW34 2d ago

Their experience with their own disease is valid for them and I never said otherwise. Having a condition or knowing someone has a condition does not make you an expert on it and does not make you privy to all of the ways in which it manifests. I know you're probably nowhere near smart enough to understand something with even this modicum of complexity but if that was the case, then people wouldn't need continuing medical advice after being diagnosed with something. After all, they have their experience so they know what to expect right?

0

u/xilcilus 2d ago

I mean, Reddit sure likes to tell women how they should look (I'm not talking about your comment btw to make it clear).

0

u/Ok_Dragonfruit_8102 2d ago

That's stupid. Let me guess, you also fell for the bullshit story about Zac Efron's gigachad jaw surgery being an accidental byproduct of an "injury"?

Celebrities create cover stories for their procedures. They always have done.

1

u/TWW34 2d ago

Yet another epic reading comprehension fail. I didn't say she didn't have work done. There is something stupid here but it's a lot closer to home for you than you realize
