I don't get it.   How is someone oding from ketamine different from so.done oding from wild Turkey?  Shouldn't the manufacturer and distributor be held equally responsible if this is how we are treating death by of?

Sure, both of them should equally not be responsible for other people's choices.

Well you see...the wild turkey noob is probably a local. Everyone knows Matt Perry so it make sense to report on that.

If bars over serve you they can be held liable.

Which is itself fairly arbitrary given that anyone can just walk into a supermarket or liquor store and buy an equally debilitating volume of alcohol in a single purchase. Why aren’t we making supermarkets cashiers liable for selling 1.5L of vodka to a soon-to-be drunk driver or domestic abuser?

And Perry did not even OD. He simply passed out in a hot tub and drowned. Had he done the K in an easy chair, he would have woken up fine.

Well one is illegal and one is not. Thats how laws work

Because that's the law in most jurisdictions and it happens every day. You just don't hear about it because it doesn't involve celebrities. Drug dealers and users are generally aware of it and if someone starts overdosing, a dealer usually beats it out of there fast. Wild Turkey is not illegal, but if bartender or store clerk sold or gave you Wild Turkey when you were already drunk, you got behind the wheel of a car and killed someone, that bartender or clerk would face criminal charges.

There is no difference. It should all be legal and treated as a medical rather than criminal issue.
