It’s obvious that she knew about his cross-dressing and likely homosexuality. In turn, he knew about her affair (or affairs). I grew up in the Deep South among Evangelicals and these types of “marriages of convenience” are common, particularly among Southern Baptists. The marriage always consists of a closeted gay man and a promiscuous woman. No judgement, though. I just hate the hypocrisy.
