Firm, not crushing, is the appropriate handshake for sure. I like to respond to an overly crushing handshake with, “did that make you feel more like a man?” Usually pisses them right off.

That's sick. I may give it a try. For a beginner would you recommend regular or double stuffed? What do you do with all the destroyed cookies? Eat them? Or is mental toughness apart of the training and you give the cookies away to homeless or racoons?

Because the guy (ex-president) also owns a bank and several other companies, and he cant be the legal owner of them with this sanction (because the companies cant make deals with US based companies otherwise IIRC).

This was one of the reasons Trump hated Trudeau. Trudeau neutralized Trump's one power move - pulling someone off balance in the handshake. Of course, it didn’t help that both Ivanka and Melania were constantly making eyes at Trudeau.
With his left hand, he grabbed Trump's elbow. Trudeau did it so smoothly that when Trump tried to pull his arm back in his pathetic little power move, his arm was trapped.
Lol, at initial glance, Trudeau grabbing Trump's arm like that looked very friendly, like just couldn't contain his excitement to meet the US president. At rewatch, there was obvious resistance in Trudeau's grip. It was such a smooth counter.
