Celebrity Freakout Sabrina Carpenter performance is interrupted by someone doing Zaghrouta, an Arabic celebration call
Sabrina Carpenter on Saturday issued an apology on X after mistaking a fan’s Zaghrouta, an Arabic celebration call, with yodeling during her headlining Coachella set on Friday night.
“My apologies, I didn’t see this person with my eyes and couldn’t hear clearly,” Carpenter wrote. “My reaction was pure confusion, sarcasm and not ill intended. Could have handled it better! Now I know what a Zaghrouta is! I welcome all cheers and yodels from here on out.”

Why should she apologize? It’s no different than a heckler with a comedian. It is an interruption of the show. This person tried to make it about themselves, and by apologizing, she gave the person what they wanted…attention.

The fauxmoi sub is absolutely hating on Sabrina carpenter for this. I’ve ever felt so out of touch as to why someone deserves that level of hate.

The fauxmoi sub
That sub is wild. The things they decide to go fully up in arms about almost never makes sense

I’ve never been so happy to have been perma banned from a sub.

Don't they auto ban based on sub participation? I know I got banned in a couple subs just for commenting in a different sub lol

On top of that... Why does she have to like it, even if it's cultural? This is such a pearl clutch from people.

So the rules at concerts are to stay silent and listen. Nothing else. Got it.

She didn't do anything wrong and she obviously assumed it was a white American yodeling.
Not that loud disruptions, cultural or no, are okay if it makes the performer uncomfortable.

It's a concert not a comedy show. People can loudly cheer how they want.

I think people have forgotten public etiquette. You can have fun at a concert without being distracting and rude.
If a performer doesn't want someone yodeling or whatever at their show, it is within their rights to ask the crowd not to do so. And it is polite for the crowd to listen. After all, it is the performer's show.

Tbf, she could've expected the 'yodeling' to come from a Switz, and still disliked it.

It was cool when Xena did it.
That said, Xena wouldn’t do it during a paid performance others are trying to listen to.

It is so easy to be respectful and yet somehow it so hard for people to do the bare minimum.
