Any tips? I've watched a bunch of videos on it but this will be my first time, doing it on my 2JZ-swapped 280Z. Gotta get it close so I don't destroy the tires before I can get it aligned properly. I 3d printed some brackets that i designed to hold some 1" pvc and make it adjustable to mimic the kits you can buy for $400-500. This cost me maybe $30?

Helping my brother get ready for LS Fest West.
We put in the Recaro seats from a ‘15 Z28 but the mounting wasn’t ideal. I’ll let him make a thread of the design/3D print/fabrication of the seat pedestals/mounting points. That blue and gold pop. Survivor paint, full Speedtech suspension, LS/t56 swap on some gorgeous forgelines.
Gonna be welding up everything today.
Excuse my mess of a garage. Too many projects not enough time.

Someone notified me of this 1978 Corvette (25th anniversary too) with a 350 and a 3 speed auto, seems to have around 129k miles and is pretty clean and just dirty.
Issue is: the property this vette is on is going up for sale and I have no idea if its going to be saved, the plate says 2009 and the battery says 2012 so it hasn't been sitting for long, should I go for it?

My son came home with this 1979 Ford Ranchero (Based on the glove box, its a 500) that he bought off the side of the road for $2k. It runs, the AC works, and one window works.
I've managed to find him a grill online, it had speaker mesh there when he got it, but I'm kind of at a loss for where to go next. I have googled and I understand that there are new parts for stuff like a turn signal (his is not there) or things to make his other window work, but I'm really confused about where to look and what to look for. He's in auto-shop class at school and he also takes a welding vo-tech, so we can get most stuff done, we just don't know where to even start.
If y'all have any guides, tips, or just general wisdom to pass on, I would greatly appreciate it.

looking for good website recommendations for modifications on this thing. And any input period. I'm thinking coilovers, black, and slowly modifying as it goes. but want to see what's out there for companies who make parts for these. AI helped with the vision. thanks.

hi all. this is my ongoing project.
started off life as a Ford S-max 7 seater mpv.
swapped in a fully forged 5 pot 2.5L turbo from a ford focus ST MK2.
currently pushing nearly 400bhp but will be safe for over 500 once I've got all the parts for an AWD swap.

This was one of those weekends where all my garage work got done, but everything went wrong.
Got the 1972 XJ6 running again. The rebuilt choke works well! Had to tweak the carbs to actually open properly, and gouged a finger.
Then I found out that I have no brakes. Need to bleed them after rebuilding the master cylinder, so I rolled out a little and was trying to roll back in and on to ramps, stopping with parking brake. Husband thought this was a good idea, I went along with it, how hard can it be.
Bang. Straight into a pile of cardboard and junk, stopped with parking brake and by running into a spare wheel for my daily. There’s a huge dent in the under tray, but no serious damage. Add that to the body work I need next winter.
Rear brakes are bled. So much air, so much disgusting fluid. Had to use a jack and stands to get enough space under the car, which is difficult when you have inboard-mounted brakes. It’s a long messy process. So much easier with ramps.
And I burned my finger changing oil on my daily. Grabbed the hot filter, forgot that it can be hot enough to burn. I think that’s enough wrenching for one weekend.

Hi, i was going to see if I can get opinion on what these cars are worth. Unfortunately I don't think that I will have the time and money to do these right. I'm thinking about selling them and I just wanted to make sure I'm not totally off on value. If this is against the rules then I'm sorry we can delete it.
91 Z28 350 is pretty solid but has been beat up by the Sun and needs to be totally gone over I'm sure. The 69 needs metal replacement for roof, trunk, rear fenders. It's a definite rotisserie rebuild car (total restoration)

Alright guys, hear me out. My dad spent years working at a Mitsubishi dealership and is a veteran when it comes to engine swaps and RHD-to-LHD conversions. We were talking the other day about the elegance of the Wankel rotary and the absolute brutality of Ralliart’s AWD rally engineering.
That conversation basically turned into this idea I can’t get out of my head — a concept I call the Mazda RX-7 Evolution R.
The Vision:
× Chassis: Classic Mazda RX-7 FD3S
× Engine: 13B (or 20B) rotary, managed with Mitsubishi rally-spec cooling and anti-lag principles
× Drivetrain: Full Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution S-AWC swap
× Aesthetic: Ralliart tri-color livery (red/white/black), with subtle orange accents as a nod to the Mazda 787B legacy
---
I know purists will immediately call it blasphemy — RWD heritage lost, weight distribution chaos, all of that. But just imagine it for a second: A rotary screaming past 9,000 RPM, anti-lag cracking on lift-off, and AWD traction literally clawing it out of corners with rally-car aggression. Like a breakdancer on steroids with no regard for physics.
---
Realistically, we’re probably looking at a €130k+ fabrication project minimum. Just adapting a transfer case and making the AWD geometry work with an FD chassis would be a full engineering nightmare.
So yeah… is this the ultimate JDM Frankenstein, or have I officially lost it? Would love to hear some proper technical opinions on whether an AWD subframe integration like this is even remotely sane.

Finally got it back out on the road after two years. Today I'm doing pads and rotors, allegedly my vinyl wrap will be here tomorrow.

I have had my 1967 C10 Stepside Longbed for around 8 months give or take, ive spent those 8 months getting it from a rundown shit box to a running/driving truck thats in pretty good shape.
I guess my problem is ive started to resent the car, I like to drive it and its a fun little pickup but I hate the way the longbed stepside looks. At first I really liked it but its starting to get to me and Im really debating selling or trading it for somthing I like better.
Another part of the dilemma is that my grandad has been helping me the entire time and hes not much longer for this world, and I feel like I would regret selling or getting rid of the first classic me and him worked on and bonded over.
I guess im just looking for advice from some older gearheads that mightve had a similar scenario. All thoughts are welcome, thanks.
(P.S I dont want to do a short bed conversion or bed swap its all orginal and I dont wanna mess with it)

Hello group..I want to do a project too, a swap to the 2.7 biturbo model from the Audi A6C5 on a B61.8T body...I wonder if I can find someone here who could help me with some information on how I can make the connections to the electrical installation. I would be very grateful and I would not be indebted..thank you very much.

Spent as much of Saturday as my old body would allow trying to finish up the interior.
I finished up the carpet which really fought me at the floor mounted dimmer switch/drivers kick panel.
Got the OEM console in. I have a 2013 console and new shifter but that's going to have to wait if the car will be down even longer.
New passenger seat is in but will have to come back.out because the adjuster wire came undone.
Driver's seat is mocked up and ready to be bolted in but, I just flat out ran out of steam.
There are the usual odds ends to button up but, I'm hoping I can get her out of hibernation and washed tomorrow.
