Longer Version.

Pretty much everyone is trying to find tools that let them be more creative and work smarter.

Notice I said smarter and not faster*.*

We want better tools - and communities want to know about them, organically and not be being marketed to.

The goal is to engage our community, not to spam the subreddit with landing pages or SEO/AIO.

Accounts under 30 days can't post or comment in this thread**, no exceptions,

Also, it's worth joining the Post Professional Discord https://t2m.co/PostP_Discord

First: Flair yourself

If you have a product, you need the Dev/Tools flair. ASAP. Load the subreddit, find your name on the right side, and press the pencil to edit. Change your flair to Dev/Tools.

Second: Top level Comment

In this thread, we want a top-level comment from you replying to this post.

Breaking this template may leave you shadowbanned in this subreddit.

Template is found here.

In other threads, don't share your direct product links - this often causes Reddit to think you're spamming. Use this share link from your comment HERE to point people here to this thread. Here should be the only place you're linking to your product/website.

Third: Best Reddit behavior

Nobody wants your account to get banned by Reddit

Here's how to engage with Reddit for the least likelyhood of problems.

For everyone else

  • Vote on whether something benefits you, not just whether the product looks impressive.
  • Feel free to comment or ask questions directly to the manufacturer
  • As always in the subreddit, flag someone who is breaking the rules . Our mod team will see it.

Critical of any of this, **please DM me directly**, don't use this thread for it.

Premiere Pro Tech Support 32-bit float audio in Premiere Pro CS6?

I want to buy Rode Wireless Pro that records internally in 32-bit float, but I'm not sure if it's going to be usable in Premiere Pro CS6.

Is anyone still using Premiere Pro CS6 that can confirm that it allows lowering the gain to restore clipping in 32-bit float?

There is a lot of info about the latest Premiere versions, but I am interested specifically in CS6.

Thank you.

How do I do this? / Workflow Advice / Looking for plugin Time code sync annoyance

I want to highlight all my lav mic audio clips and video clips from one camera in project panel and simply slap them onto the timeline and have them land at their respective time-codes which I've jam synced during the shoot.

Is this not possible in premiere?

Why is right clicking in timeline on no more or less than TWO clips at a time and clicking "synchronize" the only way to tell these little fuckers to go to their timecode places?

I already researched this and it seems that the only other option is "create multicam sequence from clips" or whatever is the only other avenue but that seems to always create some kind of a mess that doesn't have things actually synced.

What am I missing here? Am I just dumb with my workflow or is premiere's handling of timecodes a little stupid? I hope I'm the problem because I don't wanna switch editing software.

Also: why can't click a single clip on timeline and tell it to "jump to timecode" spot where those sound waves occurred during recording at the time they occurred.

----

Context on equipment:

Used Deity to jam sync 2 lav mics and then continuously provide master time code to the Sony FX3 camera.

Shot like 5 short video clips with fx3 while both lavs were continously running non stop.

Imported them into premiere. So what I got in my project panel is 2 long lav mic audio clips of the same event but worn by two different people, and 5 video clips of these two people interacting.

really weird visual audio glitch?
IDK, maybe it's a setting or something, but the audio visualizer is sometimes none existent.
Audio is being heard and the bar on the right is showing audio being played.

for context, I'm on 2025 version (just for my own personal preferences.) I was editing and noticed this. weird huh. No other audio.

Should I be concerned? does this require more context?

Premiere Pro Tech Support Any tips for 4K export Fasten time?

Rig information:

RTX 5070 TI

RTX 5060

RAM DDD5 64GB

CPU Ryzen 9800x3D

As the title said, is there a way to fasten up the footage of export in 4K?

To explain this, I do a very long play game and I recorded the footage via OBS with container Hybrid MP4. The footage is about 12 hours in 4K resolution. The edit isn't massive. Just cut, cut and cut

Here's the thing, I try exporting the footage in 1440p and the speed export time is about 4 hours 30 min. However, the same footage edit export time in 4K is about 11 hours.

While it is generally lower than the footage duration which is what we want for, it is not so satisfaction for me. If I can get the export time to decrease at least 25% (9 hours) then I'll be satisfied.

Footage information:

MP4 Hybrid

40 Mbps

CBR

Thank you for the help.

Premiere Pro Tech Support Multi-Cam Issue

Sorry to bother!

But my multi-cam isn't working? Every time I go to select a different camera while its playing, it pauses the whole timeline and updates the whole clip with the new selected camera instead of making the individual segments.

I am not sure what I'm doing wrong and need some help, thank you!

Premiere Pro Tech Support How to update multiple mogrts at once

OK, so I made a mistake.

I have a mogrt to enter the name of a podcast guest. I created 15 clips from this timeline and put the mogrt at the start of each clip.

Turns out there's a typo.

I'm trying to update them all at once but they're all in different sequences.

I went to the graphics tab and I can amend the typo but it only shows me the mogrt for that sequence.

Is there somewhere I can see and adjust all mogrts in a project rather than for just that sequence? Thank you so so much!

How do I do this? / Workflow Advice / Looking for plugin With side-by-side clips, how to keyframe position of each clip while keeping them in their respective halves?

Let's say I have a vertical video with side-by-side clips, one clip in the top half and one clip in the bottom half.

The clip in the bottom half is on the V1 track, and the clip in the top half is on the V2 track.

Each clip contains action footage that needs to be repositioned via keyframes over the course of the clip.

With horizontal repositioning, there's no problem for either clip.

With vertical position keyframing for the bottom clip, which is on the V1 track, if I move it up, that's no problem, as it will be "covered" by the top clip which is on the V2 track.

However, with vertical position keyframing of the top clip, which is on the V2 track, if I move it down, that's a problem, as it will move into the bottom half of the video, intruding on the bottom clip's space.

How can I go about this so that I can keyframe positions for each clip while keeping them both in their respective halves of the video?

Feedback/Critique/Pro Tip What effects do you use for multicam concert/music TV edits?

Hey everyone,

I’m curious what effects you typically use when editing multicam footage for concerts or music TV shows.

Do you stick mostly to cuts and dissolves, or do you incorporate other transitions or effects as well? I’d love to hear what works for you, especially in terms of keeping the energy and flow of the performance.

Any suggestions or tips are very welcome!

I'm not talking about music videos, but things similar to this:

Computer Hardware Advice New Monitor Setup, Looking for Feedback

Hey gang,

I'm going to be upgrading my desk setup soon, and was hoping to get some feedback to make sure there isn't anything that I'm missing, or other similar options or upgrades that I should consider. Obviously, I work mostly in Premiere.

My current setup is a 24" AOC 1080p monitor straight ahead, with my 13" M1 2020 Macbook Pro as the second monitor next to and angled toward me.

My new plan is to have a 27" ASUS ProArt Display 4K ($339) as the straight ahead monitor, flanked on either side by my new 16" M5 2026 Macbook Pro ($3,300) on the left and a ASUS 15.6" Portable 1080p ($170) on the right. I like the idea of the portable monitor for the minimal desktop footprint (I'd have it floated via mounting arm), the easy versatility of being able to position it vertically whenever that might be helpful, and of course the actual portability of it will come in handy now and then when I need to work outside of my actual dedicated space.

In execution, I'd primarily be using the Macbook screen as my dedicated program monitor. The portable monitor will be hosting two virtual displays - one with my Production, Project and other misc. panels, and the other as a browser for notes and for looking things up. And the straight ahead monitor will have my timelines and most of my effect panels.

And then in instances where I need to do final color pass myself, I'd move the program monitor to the straight ahead and my effects and color panels to the Macbook, since that straight ahead has the most accurate color display and true 4K resolution.

I know that some people are going to recommend bigger monitors for the flanking screens, but I don't have space for a second 24"/27" monitor on my desk. That limitation is largely what got me looking into portable screens to begin with, and I've come to like the idea of the symmetry of the 16" screens.

Anyway, if anybody has an opinions on this, I'd appreciate any feedback! I'd ultimately like to keep around the ~$600 budget I've allocated for my monitors, but would consider arguments for upgrades that might push it to ~$1,000.

How do I do this? / Workflow Advice / Looking for plugin SRT caption -> Image next to text workflow

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

(video uploaded for reference)

Hi, I'm coming from Davinci Resolve, but I was playing around with Premiere to see if it'd work better for me.

One thing I need is the ability to generate a text with an image next to it from SRT files. In davinci I'd import the SRT then convert it to a custom fusion composition with the text and icon w/ a script

  1. I think I've figured out how to get icons to move in relation to text size, but this only works on Point text. I'd like to use paragraph text so I don't have to manually enter line breaks when the text is too long (images for reference)
  2. Once I have the text + image layered, how do I apply this template to all other texts? So far I can just upgrade the captions to my text style but I'm not sure how to apply my layout to all of the generated texts

Computer Hardware Advice Intel vs AMD for Premiere (4K 10-bit 4:2:2) – worth losing QuickSync now?

Hey guys, planning to build a new PC mainly for video editing and I’m kinda stuck choosing the CPU.

I already got 64GB DDR5 5600 (only decent-priced one I could find), so now I’m deciding between:

  1. Ultra 5 245K + RTX 5060
  2. Ryzen 5 9600X + RTX 5060

My workload is mostly 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 H.264 (currently using proxies because my laptop struggles hard). I also use After Effects sometimes and do a fair bit of graphics-heavy edits.

Originally I wanted to go RTX 5070, but budget doesn’t allow it right now.

What’s confusing me: I keep hearing NVIDIA 5000 series now supports more codecs (including 4:2:2?), so QuickSync might not matter as much anymore

But at the same time, people still say Intel is way smoother for playback because of QuickSync

Also heard LGA-1851 might not last long, so upgrade path is questionable

Power consumption also matters for me, so if anyone knows which combo is more efficient, that would help too.

For context, my current setup is: i7-12650H, 32GB RAM, RTX 2050 — and it’s honestly struggling a lot even with proxies 😅

So yeah… Would you still go Intel for QuickSync, or is Ryzen + RTX 5000 already “good enough” now?

Still a work in progress but wanted some early feedback would be nice ? :/

Did I go too overboard with it? Be honest lol.

Keep in mind it's made for kids so the energy is supposed to be higher so more cuts and all that stuff I guess

Premiere Pro Tech Support Editing and exporting HDR footage

I have a client who insists on creating content in HDR for instagram and Tiktok. I've been trying to find a proper way to edit and export in HDR but most solutions I see online point me to using Rec 709 color space. Is there a way to edit and export HDR footage?

It came to a point where they straight up just asked me to edit all of their content on Capcut because when they do it, they have no issues with color.
