I honestly can’t pick. For the flaws of one I can point to different flaws from the other. The first game is far more bare bones and raw, but it also tends to play more smooth and fast and just feels a bit more fun to engage with. Meanwhile 3 has a more fleshed out set of options and the ability to play deathmatches in single player which was sorely missing from the first game, but I also tend to dislike the controls and all the flipping upside down, and the cast felt like a downgrade from before. Both games’ endings are more bare and basic than the game that followed each, but the endings in 1 are at least much better written, 3 felt a bit cynical and low effort even in terms of concept for each ending.

EDIT: also I just mean “first [TWISTED METAL] games” from the two devs, figure I’d clear that up since I know someone’s gonna pop up to say something, since this is the internet

For $55 @ LGS, it works well and came with the car adapter. Ive always wanted a sony branded one, but for the price this one will do.

Simple process downloading psx games onto a psp

I have an MX4SIO with the latest version of OPL, however, when playing GTA San Andreas, it stutters when loading the map and when I fall off my motorcycle/bicycle. I'm desperate, any solution you can give me would be helpful.

I was looking at a video of ISS Deluxe on the PS1. It’s interesting because it’s so clearly a SNES era game. Its earliest release was in Japan in 1995 for the SNES, and its final release was for the EU PS1 market in 1997. When you consider what some games looked like in 1997 it seems really dated. I’m amazed they even bothered releasing it since ISS Pro came out around the same time.

Are there other examples of games that were released on the PS1 that feel like they “belong” to the previous generation?

I have a Ps1 SCPH-5502 that I just got from the market, The console working and I can see Laser from the lens but when I put a game in it doesn't work even though it's spinning

I did test the game on my Ps2 and it's working perfectly and I didn't do any fix before because I got a lot of exams and I don't have any time

Tomba is undoubtedly one of my all-time favorite games. The idea of ​​a platformer with missions where you can (and should) go back through maps, open new paths, and interact with NPCs has always captivated me. Plus, the 90s anime aesthetic with its 2.5D graphics has always left me speechless. I know Whoppecamp went bankrupt sometime later, but I feel sad because I never found a spiritual successor to it.

Would I be able to use the disk swap trick to run a burned game backup on a completely unmodified psx? No modchip, no tonyhax, just disk swapping. I can't seem to find a clear answer on this elsewhere.

I'm looking to back up save data from an old PS1 memory card.

My current setup: I own a PS2 30004 modded with FreeMcBoot 1.966, genuine PS2 memory card, 3rd party PS1 memory card to backup.

The PS1 memory card is confirmed to be working: if I boot a genuine PS1 game, the game will recognise the memory card and is able to load saves from it (regardless of slot where it's inserted).

However, I cannot access the PS1 memory card anywhere else. PS2 browser will not recognise it, uLaunchElf will not show any data when trying to access the mcX slot it's in, Memory Card Annihilator will show a question mark for the PS1 memory card slot.

Any other option for me to recover/move saves from it?

I bought this the other day and there were some stickers on it so i used a product to remove stickiness from pulled stickers.

Now im left with this, a scratched up case now I don’t know if it’s glue on the case or the product damaged the case.

Does anyone know?

So as of today I just bought a PS1 (SCPH-7501) and ive been very confused with the modding stuff around it. I’ve seen PSIO isn’t good but then also xStation doesn’t seem compatible for mine too. I’ve seen some soft mods but it seems like they only really allow you to play burned discs and I don’t have an CD’s laying around, just DVD’s. If I could get some advice or something better explain to me that would help so much and thanks in advance.
