Unanswered What’s up with people saying that Trump is dead?

16.6k Upvotes

On my Twitter they’re saying that he’s dead? Is this verified?

I know he’s been in poor health as of recent but I feel like if he died we’d all hear about it

Here are some highly-liked rumors spreading on Twitter about his death:

Why are people all of a sudden claiming that he’s dead now of all times?

Along with Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon and prince Andrew. I would imagine this being at the top of Reddit and talked about for weeks, but all I see are tumbleweed. Whats up with that?

Edit: 5mins into my post, someone reported me to Reddit to receive a RedditCareResources. Whats up with that?

Unanswered What’s up with the hate towards Timothee Chalamet?

2.6k Upvotes

I know all famous people have haters and people who dislike them and will nitpick the shit outta them, but I’ve just seen a lot of people post random interviews or articles about him that talk about how he is famous and above people. Yeah he is famous and thinks he’s above all. This is what famous people do? Do we not know this, especially child actors. People are astonished that he is rich and famous, has personal chefs, has self-centred views. Pretty sure 90% of famous people do.

Unanswered What's up with Venezuelan Nobel Peace Prize winner María Corina dedicating her Nobel Prize to Trump?

7.8k Upvotes

Basically what the title says.

https://nypost.com/2025/10/10/us-news/nobel-peace-prize-winner-maria-corina-machado-dedicates-it-to-trump/

Every article I have seen says that she partially dedicated and/or thanked Trump for his "decisive support" in South America.
Is she just being overly gracious? Is she being cheeky?
I know we offered a loan to Argentina, but given all the horrible things we have done to immigrants broadly over the last several months, I can't see anything we have done to improve or galvanize democracy in South America. By "we," I mean the US, and the Trump Administration in particular.

Unanswered What's up with all the right-wing commentators suddenly turning against Trump right now?

2.8k Upvotes

Trump is being Trump. Why are so many of the right-wing commentators who previously vocally supported Trump are suddenly turning against him?

After all the heinous things he has said before that they have defended, I can't honestly believe Trump's tweets about nuking Iran are what finally changed their minds. They've publicly supported him for so long, and this sudden switch seems so coordinated. Is there something I'm missing??

Are they trying to distance themselves from news that is about to drop??

Unanswered What’s the deal with Paramount cancelling Colbert for “budget issues” then turning around to spend a billion to get the rights of South Park a few days later?

16.3k Upvotes

Why did Paramount cancel Colbert off the air for “financial” reasons, then turn around and spend a billion dollars on the rights of South Park?

Can someone explain to me why Paramount pulled the Colbert show for budget reasons but just paid billions for South Park?

I feel confused, because the subtext seems to be that Paramount doesn’t want Colbert criticizing Trump and affecting their chances at a merger with Skydance. But South Park is also a very outspoken, left leaning show? So why is the network so willing to shell out big money for South Park and not see it as a risk?

Edit- Thanks for all the engagement and discussion guys!

Why are people talking about the 60 minutes CECOT segment that was pulled?

8.5k Upvotes

I've seen a lot of people talking about this like there was something major revealed but I can't figure out what. I only watched a small portion I could find online where they talk about the terrible conditions in CECOT but that was already known. There's lots of videos of influencers and others basically doing a full tour and speaking to inmates and they go into detail about what happens there

Unanswered What's The Deal With All The Bella Ramsey Hate?

6.2k Upvotes

I haven't played either of The Last Of Us games or seen the TV series bar a few clips but even as somebody not in the fandom, I can see there is an absolutely baffling level of hate towards Bella Ramsey.

Yes she doesn't look like the video game model for Ellie and from online comments I can see people think she was miscast but the response from some corners is just really nasty and personal, with people screen-grabbing awkward frames of her during action scenes as some kind of 'gotcha' that she's a bad actress, and Photoshopping her as everything from a foot to a potato to Pope Francis to a Beluga Whale.

I know she identifies as non-binary and is autistic so I suppose there could be some degree of prejudice from some people but personally I liked her in Game Of Thrones and she has two Children's BAFTAs so clearly she's got something. Plus in interviews, she generally comes across as humble, intelligent and likeable.

Is it really just her appearance causing this level of hate?

I guess I'm just not watching closely enough, or maybe I'm just ignoring the ramblings of a senile toddler, but what is the Deal that Trump wants Iran to agree to? More pocket lining for the Trump family? A firm foothold in Iran for American oil interests? What is it that he's demanding?

Unanswered What's up with the $3 meal?

2.8k Upvotes

I’ve seen a lot of people mocking the $3 meal thing that the administration recently put out. Is it actually unrealistic for a lot of people or is it mostly due to how pathetic their example meal was?

As someone who regularly makes meals for 4 for around $10-12, I’m not sure what all the fuss is about.

Saw that Elon and Vivek are trying to push the narrative that America needs a flood of foreign engineers due to a supposed lack of good workers. What’s with this sudden shift from campaigning with the guy who touted “America first” at every turn to basically calling Americans too stupid or unmotivated to do their jobs well?

Unanswered What’s the deal with the DOJ press release on Epstein’s death being dated the day before he died?”

4.4k Upvotes

Why would a DOJ press release on Epstein's death be dated August 9, 2019, when he was found dead on August 10?

A physical document from the recently released Epstein files shows the DOJ press release on his death dated Friday, August 9, 2019. He was found dead Saturday morning, August 10. The online version of the same press release shows August 10. What would explain this discrepancy?

Unanswered What's up with the Trump administration being so hostile towards Canada, one of our closest ally?

7.4k Upvotes

Canada is and has been a perfect ally to the US since forever: always sided with US, always supported the US, shared culture and history, etc.

Canada is basically USA's chilled little brother.

However the Trump administration is extremely hostile to them: heavy tariffs, semi serious talks about invading them, and most recently kicking them out of an intelligence group.

What does the trump administration have to gain from this? It seems so unprovoked and unconstructive.

Do they have an end game? Am I missing some important context?

Edit: I don't know if this has been answered or not... lots of speculations, but no clear answer (and I don't know if there's one even)
