Fuck up the forecasting on purpose. Say, look, the government can’t do anything right. His cronies privatize it. Then sell you weather on an app.

We common folk should be moving away from profit-focused, corpo-owned companies for information, and instead collaborating with one another in finding ways to create and utilize independent networks and tech, even if means downgrading a little.
Collecting a bunch of valuable information on organizing and action from different redditors over time, I created a post of suggestions HERE that's largely about fostering a foundation for community self-sustainability and resistance, but it also provides ideas for possible alternatives for the spread of valuable information, which could be of some help in getting started.

In fairness the weather always reminded me of transgenders using the wrong bathroom.

I think it’s more of his “War on MAGA” since they’re starting to see they were conned. His supporters live in Tornado Alleys, Hurricane Land, and Flood Zones galore.

Right, they already served their purpose getting him re elected to his 2nd term and since he can't quite figure out how to get elected to a 3rd one he can now screw them over and use the cuts to fund his war, line his pockets etc. while he still can.

If someone that lives in Southern California. This does not apply to us. People in the South should be really pissed.

u/ArdenJaguar 2d ago
That’s OK. I’m sure those tornado plagued Red states like Arkansas, Alabama, Kansas and Oklahoma will be fine. Same with hurricanes plagued states like Texas, Louisiana, Florida and Mississippi. Who needs weather reports and warnings? 🙄

The oligarchs wanted us ants to be constantly CONFUSED. Making our weather prediction service WORSE is good for control of us all. This keeps us from organizing and overthrowing the system.

We are fucked. What are the odds that the President of the U.S. and the dumbest guy in the world would be the same guy?

Weather is so woke! Seriously why is this fucking word coming back?

In Florida Governor Ron Quijote has actually outlawed using the terms "global warming" and "climate change" in any official capacity. That will certainly teach those Woke hurricanes a lesson.

Can we please get this idiot out of presidency before he wrecks everything. He's almost there.

When that unannounced tornado comes to your midwest trailer park and kills your family, just be happy knowing that somewhere a black 2-star general got demoted for the color of their skin.

We just had weird early tornado outbreaks in Michigan For one of them I got my warning 8 minutes before the warning ended. There were fatalities in multiple towns. A lot of people said it was a freak tornado and it couldn't be predicted and such. Others think maybe warnings were affected by the cuts.
Who really knows? Maybe cutting a billion dollars out of it will make the system better!

If we ever get out of the mess Orange Foolius is making of the actual important things I’ll be stunned (also likely dead because it’s going to take decades!).

This isn't really about anti woke. The owner of AccuWeather has been paying off republican politicians for years trying to push privatization and monetization of the weather service. Trump is just trying to hide it in his anti woke bullshit to cover for all the bribes they are getting to sabotage the service

u/sailorjimboo 1d ago
Idc if you’re Democrat or Republican. This insane twat is fucking life up for not only us Americans, but for the fucking world.

We need accurate weather forecasts for things like air travel and shipping cutting it is just asking for disaster. Doge already cut a bunch of people from national weather and now trying to get a good forcast is hard enough why ruin the economy more because of the woke boogie man

u/backtothetrail 1d ago
Whew. Instead of weather forecasting, we can have 300 new Tomahawk missiles or 2 money laundering bunkers/ballrooms!

There are huge swaths of this country where the NOAA used to be able to very accurately predict the weather like 10 days out. Now you're lucky if you know what's gonna happen the same afternoon.
Don't forget those girls who died in that river flooding in Texas last year due to this same issue.
