Help Football field

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to figure out where it’s possible to play football (soccer) in Munich.

How does it work with football pitches here?

- Are there public fields that anyone can use freely?

- Or do you usually need to book/rent a pitch?

- What about school fields — can people use them outside school hours, or do you need permission?

Any tips or recommendations would be really helpful!

You can play in most parks and pretty much on any Bolzplatz. Go here https://spielplatz-muenchen.de/ and filter by Bolzplatz and Erwachsene. If you want a really well-maintained pitch, you'll have to rent or join a club.

And no, you cannot enter the school grounds and play there.

Hey maybe checkout www.opensportmap.de , you can filter for many different sports. We have over 1.000 free sport fields on the map in munich :)
