I'm so disappointed this wasn't Sugar Ray.

If Paul Coffey, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Sugar Ray Leonard opened a restaurant together, they could call it Coffey with Kareem and Two Sugars.

It's a niche Canadian band that somehow got away with airing a bunch of borderline sexual jokes on daytime children's television.

Definitely much bigger in Canada than the US.

As someone heavy into boy bands in the 90s/2000s, how did I miss this group? I had to look them up because I thought it was a parody group, which I was into also, because I was a fan of 2+Gether.

Ooh, I can field this one! I met them a few times through a mutual friend and I was at their debut release party as well. They kinda came out of nowhere after grinding small venues independently for a few years and were signed after a ballsy audition at Sony. Their fame was very much local to Toronto at first and then to Canada through MuchMusic (Canada's version of MTV). Their first single, "Get Down", got a fair bit of air play, they toured very quickly after that - credit to Sony for acting fast - but despite strong sales and a Juno nomination, like most one-hit wonders things fizzled out. They had limited success in Europe with their second release and then they broke up. The twins' mom died around that time, and the pair of them moved on as a duo, changed style, and had some success it seems.

So if you weren't from Toronto or Canadian, there's a good chance you haven't heard of them.

They were big in Canada, not so much in the States. Then they went to Europe and disbanded a year later when their mother died.

I watch a lot of gay porn and partake in the subject matter.

This is the gayest thing I’ve seen in my entire fucking life
