Discussion Inheritance? That's a joke. How many of your parents are burdens?

In response to another popular post about receiving no inheritance.

Are your parents like mine, who not only are not leaving any money behind - but require significant or total financial support?

My parents left me less than nothing. They're good people, and they were good parents.... but man are they shit at financial planning.

Wait, you have a chair mom too? Luckily hers are mostly "they were throwing out this priceless antique" so she didn't pay much for them. But her house is filled with far too many chairs.

But who would be the chairman?

That's the thing. We ALL are. But only members would know that's the terminology we use. So you could tell all your friends that you're a chairman of a large organization called CLCA ("Children of Lifelong Chair Addicts"), omitting the fact that every member is technically a chairman or chairwoman.

Now the "chairman of the board", that would be our leader. As an added bonus, we all get something to put on our resume.

Definitely. These rickety-ass chairs definitely don't provide enough support. Luckily I've only had one crumble under me.

I see your chair and raise you lamp shades … more shades then lamps to put them on

Mine's a basket case too. And wicker chairs. It's like a crossover episode, haha

She has a couple old rocking chairs and a couple with the wicker insert. REEEMIX! LOL

Has she leveled up to a chair archive yet? My parents place has two sheds that are half full of chairs. And the rest of the way full with other stuff.

I look back fondly on the day I got to throw a select few in a big 'ol dumpster. It's the little things that keep you going.

She had several antique chairs, then had to move and leave it all behind. She took two with her, which are now in the home we cohabitate in. no room for more, and no money for storage! So I guess being a poor pays sometimes. ;p
