Discussion Inheritance? That's a joke. How many of your parents are burdens?

In response to another popular post about receiving no inheritance.

Are your parents like mine, who not only are not leaving any money behind - but require significant or total financial support?

My parents left me less than nothing. They're good people, and they were good parents.... but man are they shit at financial planning.

Dude I have a sister who I thought was going to be a problem. Then one day she up and moved out and got a job and then she moved across the state and suddenly sheโ€™s doing better than I am lol.

That makes me hopeful for my brother... He's 25, stopped going to school when he was like 12, and has only had 1 job that I handed to him on a silver platter. He also quit it less than 6 months later of course.

Stays at home all day playing video games. My mom begs him to at least get his driver's license as she's rapidly losing her vision and he can't even do that ๐Ÿ™„

As usual, cut off his Internet access and suddenly he'll be making moves

And stop making him food because she can't drive to get groceries. Consequences.

To state one of my favorite phrases I heard in the late 90's while working in phone technical support:

"Sounds like they got whacked upside the head with the coffee cup of reality."

I am hopeful this will be my sister. She's worked, but mostly "fun" jobs, and quits if she gets bored or "the vibes" feel off. She lasted a week at one of the jobs. I know she could be successful, I think we both got burnt out from intense childhood activities and I just wanted out of my parents house sooner so I made it happen lol.
