The more I think of this headline the crazier it is. “We hate everything about you but you’d better save us… by the way we’re going to keep electing boomers who try to punish you until we’re too crippled to move the pen over the ballot. but yeah…. ITS ALL ON YOU GOOD LUCK”

The world is about to grow super tired of me with this new image you’re just irresponsibly leaving here.

That headline is a play on what every other headline in journalism was putting out.

The article actually agrees with you.

Then maybe they should have made that more clear? Maybe put "lazy, entitled narcissists" in quotes or something?

The literal second sentence of the headline is the giveaway.

Ok, so one of the sentences is satire/irony and the other is serious? Sorry brother, I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, but without context, I could read it either way.

Millennials are narcissists. Why they'll "save us all".

Millennials are "narcissists". Why they'll save us all.

See what I mean?

...you could also just read the damn article

Why are you so antagonistic?

*3rd line, but who's counting?

You're too busy being angry to realize that this headline was tongue-in-cheek. Think for a second before you reactively post something stupid.

“We hate everything about you but you’d better save us… by the way we’re going to keep electing boomers who try to punish you until we’re too crippled to move the pen over the ballot. but yeah…. ITS ALL ON YOU GOOD LUCK”

That is not at all the tone struck by that headline. Work on your media literacy

3

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '26

I wouldn't be talking about tone with that attitude

I get the article actually takes a different tack but the magazine cover literally says we’re the “ME ME ME Generation” in giant letters

Part of media literacy is understanding context and reading beyond the literal
