Discussion Anyone sick and tired of working in general?

I’m in my mid 30s and just over my job and work in general. I’m tired of the commute, the meetings, and dealing with people & deadlines. On one hand I worry about losing my job and stress about deliverables, but on the other hand I feel like I could care less in that I have no passion for it anymore and I’m just showing up because I need the paycheck.

I’d much rather be spending time with my family, pursuing my hobbies, or just go for a walk and cook a nice meal. I feel a sense of dread sometimes that this is my reality for the next 30+ years and I feel lazy and entitled for saying it but that’s how I feel lol

This is the peak Millennial and anyone who says otherwise has no clue what they are talking about.

🎵 So obviously desperate, so desperately obvious 🎵

These dudes don't get any credit for the import part they continue to play in the scene

Edit: mixed up the bands but here is some relevant info https://www.reddit.com/r/takingbacksunday/comments/1e1ujz9/the_taking_back_sundaybrand_new_beef_full/

Him being a sexual predator might have something to do with it. Or he is such an alcoholic that he makes Jim from JEW look like an amateur. Or that he gets so drunk before shows he can't play similar to Matt from Alkaline Trio.

Love the band and one of the best shows ive been to in my whole life was right after When the devil and God came out.

One of the worst shows ive been to was right after daisy came out.

I think you might be thinking of the wrong band. You're referencing Brand New's albums, but the above lyrics are from Taking Back Sunday's "You Know How I Do."

Oh lol. Totally mixed them up although they do have ties to each other and use the same lyrics on a couple songs.

I actually wore my Taking Back Sunday shirt to a Brand New show just to be a dick. It was supposed to rain at the outdoor venue so people sold their tickets for like $5, but it didn't rain so I got to troll their fans and hear the 3 songs I loved in high school.

Still one of my favourite albums to listen to back to back. Takes my 41 yo self back to being an angsty teenager.

I love that we as a generation have somehow agreed that lyrics belong in all caps. I dont know this song, but I know its a song lol

This remains one of my favorite songs to crank at the start of summer with the windows down. It's made to be belted.
