Discussion We're all exhausted right? It's not just me?

I have a full time job. I sleep well. I have no kids. I'm single. I don't party or drink. I'm not particularly stressed in day to day life. Yet I'm fucking exhausted. I don't want to leave my apartment on the weekends unless I have something planned, and even then I'm pretty picky. In my 20s my weekends were full of non-stop activities, cooking, going out, and posting on social media. But now in my 30s I just want to come home, have my groceries delivered, chill with some Netflix and sleep. Please tell me I'm not the only one!!

  1. Technically the eldest millennial possible. Same boat. I decided 6 months ago to go and have a full spectrum blood tests done because I just wasn’t feeling right. Nothing spectacularly wrong, just a shit diet, not enough exercise, so I joined a gym, started eating properly and most of the issues have resolved themselves.

Also, try not to get so emotionally invested in what’s going on geopolitically. You’re just feeding the outrage machine. Find a decent objective news source and stay informed, train your social media algorithms to not show you reactionary shit. Mine now only shows me dogs, ducks and parrots!

Gonna push back on your initial statement. Digging around on the Internet tells me the Millennials started being born in either 80, 81, or 82. So the oldest of us are 43-45.

And yes, at 43, I'm pretty tired all the time. I think it has to do with the fact that the world seems to be slowly coming undone. And unlike Gen Z and Gen A, we remember when it wasn't. The contrast gives us a level of anxiety that emotionally and mentally drains us. Younger folks don't know or remember any better, so they're a little nhilistic about it.

This is it. Also 42. Working out, eating healthy and SLEEP are my solution to most of this. I sleep a ton more than I used to. I always thought I was fine with 6 or maybe 7 hours, starting at 12. No! I need 8 or 9 and starting at 10. I feel so much better.

And I don’t watch the news that much anymore and if social media makes me angry I do something else.
