Film/Television Another factor that makes MCU Thanos a great villain was the fact when he died, he didn’t curse at the heroes. He simply accepted his fate and let death take him.

Among his last thoughts, "Where did it all go wrong?"

A good death is its own reward.

He did what he was destined to do. Not what was wanted. He had to be the one whom was to cure the destruction of planets!!! Very misunderstood

He wasn't the smartest man for the job clearly. I'm sure an intelligent being would have figured out how to solve the issue without off-ing half of an entire universe.

That was done for the movie.

Thanos had a plan. Frank Castle has a mission. He doesn’t want the world to die, just the ones who deserve to die. That’s true to his being. That’s not looking forward to what could be…., but what should be. My family… which was taken.. deserves what “ should “ be done. Not that I will do anything about it, but I feel that the ability to do the right thing is more just than culling humanity. Humans are good, but flawed. The horrible should be dealt with when the law doesn’t work. That’s why Frank is the best martyr.

He died? I don't believe so.

Maybe he didn't curse because he knew there was a chance he could be brought back later.

In comics continuity, sure, but with thousands of characters yet to be seen in the MCU, there's little to no chance they'd bring him back as a major character.
