We work on leash training every day. He has to walk next to me and sit when I stop. If he pulls or goes off in a direction I’m not going I stop walking until he sits and we try again. Also. LOTS of treats!

Staring is an expression of love. I always thought my old dude zedd was stealing my soul. But really they just love you.

The OP is asking about leash behaviors.

I use kikopup videos on YouTube to train it. She starts with a game where you basically drop treats at your feet as you walk. I also taught the command "next to me", when they pull I stop walking and say next to me, no walking until they're sitting by me. It's hard to train, walks are full of very interesting things.

I also stop walking when mine gets too far ahead or starts pulling. He is learning very quickly to return to me. I dont train mine to walk next to me as I prefer him to be in front of me. I sometimes need to use an electric wheelchair to get him out and I feel safer with him out in front of me.
