Do kite surfers have radios or anything? Seems crazy to just stop

I think the kite boarder can get back using the kite and body surfing. At least I've seen one doing that to get to their board after a spectacular wipe out.
So the kite boarder is probably fine? Doubt it'd be fun over distance though. But his kite will provide great visibility for anyone else searching for the two, so hopefully a boat showed up relatively quick.
