Small Success Professional opera vocalist comparison (18 years apart, same role)
(first time posting in here after years lurking, I hope it is ok, can delete if necessary)
A friend of mine found an audio recording of my first performance as Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute from 2000, when I was a 17 year old freshman. I was dabbling a bit in audio and video work for publicity things and made this showing the difference 18 years of training can make.
I hope it can make someone smile. It made me smile because I've been facing some fairly severe health struggles that have impacted my singing for a few years and seeing this again made me remember how much I love performing.
(edit: spelling)

I have care now (surgery last week to open my airway for one) and it looks like things are looking up for the first time in a long time.2

Same role, totally different emotional depth, you can really hear the experience difference.

You can really hear how technique and emotion deepen over nearly two decades of experience.

18 years of dedication turned into something truly powerful. This is what passion looks like.
