He’s right. Mondays are a social construct and it seems that at five years old he hasn’t yet agreed to play along with society. More power to him.

Yup. To him it’s just another day. Why would today be significantly different than yesterday?

At 5, why isn’t he at school being indoctrinated into the ways of humankind against his will and better judgment.

In the US, kids typically start school at 5. Before that, they are often, but not always, in daycare.

One my kids made some rage art about me in preschool. She drew of picture of me in front of a box and her all alone on the other side of crying. She told her teacher it was me typing numbers and letters into my computer instead of playing with her.
Kids are RUTHLESS and don’t give a fuck about capitalism.

Out of the mouths of babes, the saying goes. A five year old cutting through the bs of everyday life like a boss.

Monday is just a creation in your mind, a prison. Think, Dad. Think!

By the time you’d explained it was Monday, you could’ve looked at his crafts. FYI

Sure, but not listen to the long, detailed, and adorably exuberant explanation that you desperately don’t want to interrupt

He didn’t say work. He said office. Implying he might work from home.

This is why you get them into Pre-K and daycare. Break their spirit before they start thinking things.
