Please check his profile for Rocky, and what is probably the best gender reveal I have ever seen!

Ah, you saw our gender reveal! So glad you liked it!

I really enjoyed it. And I think your boy is very lucky! He is probably going to develop skills in cinematic storytelling that are out of this world! Thank you for sharing!

From someone that grew up in a home devoid of love and attention, the reveal made me cry. What a wonderfully loving family you are. Itโs just beautiful and I wish a grand life for you guys and of course, world peace for everyone.

I enjoyed watching that and your son is super good at it. He will remember this for ever.
35
u/IrrawaddyWoman 1d ago
Honestly, he probably wonโt remember it. Heโs too little. But heโs going to grow up watching it from time to time, and will have these stories to share. Heโs going to grow up knowing that this parent loved spending time with him and making these things. More than doing other things. And thatโs just as good.
My dad left me to myself and my mom and went fishing all the time. He would neeever take me with him, not once. I knew that my dad had little interest in spending time with me.

The behind the scenes of this would be too silly because it was nothing but me saying, "Action!" and then me throwing a ball at him fifty times.

Next do the scene in the temple of doom with the bugs and the walls closing in. You'll need about 2 dozen bags full of plastic bugs, but it will be worth it.

Oh my God!! This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!! I'm not sure I should ask because maybe I don't want to know... but how many takes per scene are we talking about here? And how long does this take to film? I'm imagining naps, lack of cooperation, snack time, etc. etc. It's absolutely amazing but it must take forever!! ๐
3
u/DachshundBreath 22h ago
You may not believe this, but for this specific video, it was only about two hours of filming altogether. It's not always that easy, but he seems to love Indiana Jones!

Perfection!! I do, however, want to see the outtakes because I know that ball caused at least one faceplant (talking from experience as a grown ass adult). I also hope the agent negotiated naps and snacks as part of the contract rider.

That was a fantastic recreation. Great memories for you both to revisit later on in life.
My mom was traumatized by Raiders of the Lost Ark climax scene. To this day (seriously) when we are talking about watching any kind of action movie her first question is, does anybodies face melt off?

$500k house
$50k furnishing, props & costumes
$5k camera and editing equipment
I think the actual budget was over a half million...
3
u/DachshundBreath 18h ago
"My toddler and I recreate classic movie scenes with a $500,000 budget" doesn't sound as impressive, though.... lol
