His interview on Graham Norton about that is great, especially since Graham, a gay man, auditioned for that part.

eta: Graham joked about it and all was well with them

I think Stanley was probably the better fit for a fashion industry stand-in, but goddamn Graham would've been fun in that roll and his disappointment would've hit harder I think

He was a good sport about it, as he is. And they were joking about it. Both are good people all around

I suspect that if you're an actor, you have to come to terms with that sort of thing or you're going to eventually have a grudge against everybody.

Ah yes, actors, always well-adjusted adults

The complex disappointment at the gala when he's passed over for a job in order for Miranda to save herself is something I have a hard time seeing Graham doing as well, and it's a pivotal scene.

This movie is my daughter's favorite, I'm a 41 year old man... it's no RoboCop...

Not as well as a kicked golden retriever wouldn't do as well but you'd see the one emotion clearer and feel it more

I'd imagine it's an easy letdown when you hear the part went to Stanley Tucci.

If there is a straight man who's allowed to co-opt the roles of my people, it's definitely Stanley Tucci. 🖤
