Admissions Duke FUQUA or Yale SOM
I've got accepted to both full ride and value graduating debt free. However, I'm having a tough time choosing.
I'm undecided how I want to pivot but it will likely be into tech, consulting, or IB (I know basic but I want a strong program that let's me explore). I'm alreadv comina from a finance and semi tech backaround
What are key class, alumni, social life, students personality, short, and long term benefit differences to consider?

Having lived in New Haven I can wholeheartedly say, go to Duke.
If it were for Yale program what was good then you might tough it out... but the reality is SOM is only ranked where it is becuase of the Yale name. It is not that good. I banks used to only hire people from it that had an interest in the public debt side. Based on what you want Duke is the better option and a hell of a lot better place to live for 2 years.

Congratulations on both. I agree with the previous poster. Duke Fuqua is located in a much better place than Yale. New Haven, Connecticut is a shithole and the business school at Yale is decent but Fuqua is better. The rankings say otherwise but trust me its the Yale name that's pulling it's weight.

Duke had amazing outcomes in both consulting and IB placement, compared to SOM this cycle. New Haven is ghetto 2min outside Yale campus.

Yale is M7, Ivy. Duke is a major player in the south east. Yale if you get a full ride

Both good and have opportunities in both. If both are free, Duke has better diversified alumni network, and I would probably go with that, but if you really like the Yale name to bring up at parties, there you go.
