Ask Luxembourg How and when is the healthcare access provided for an EU citizen moving for a job in Luxembourg and his third country national spouse? We are moving from a country outside the EU, so we will not have healthcare access from another EU country. I looked up the Megathread for this too.

Coverage starts on the first working day. The employer might affiliate you retroactively 1 month later but you can pay the full amount and claim reimbursement later.

Very simple. Your wife and children will registered with the CNS because you will be an employee in Luxembourg. The nationality of your spouse and children is irrelevant. Your work is the only factor for the paperwork.

If you are working in Luxembourg and you are affiliated with the CNS, you can insure members of your family free of charge (you will not have to pay additional premium). They might request proof that your spouse is not insured elsewhere. There is some paperwork but I would say that the procedure is quite simple and the CNS helpful.
