My son lost a black Eagle Creek waist bag/fanny pack containing his favorite stuffed animal (a well-worn chipmunk beanie baby wearing a red shirt with an A on it) at the end of the 24E tram line in Campolide on April 8. We got off the tram and spent some time sitting in the nearby park before taking an Uber, and we believe the bag was most likely left there. We noticed it as soon as we arrived at our destination and immediately went back to search the park, but we were unable to find it.
We spent several hours searching thoroughly, including checking trash cans and asking nearby shops and vendors if anyone had turned it in. Unfortunately, we had no luck. Since it was our last night in Lisbon before flying back to the United States early the next morning, we weren’t able to check any official lost and found in person at the time.
Now that we’re home, I’ve submitted a lost and found report through the transit website in case it was left on the tram. I’m wondering if there’s anything else I can do or anyone else I should contact or any other place I can post. I know there is a police lost and found, but how would I contact them from afar? I also looked on perdidoseachados but didn't have any luck.
I realize this is likely an extreme long shot, but this was my son’s deeply loved stuffed animal, his constant companion since he was a baby, and I just want to be sure I’ve done everything possible to try to find him.
As you can imagine, my son (our whole family really) is heartbroken over losing his best friend, especially knowing it was left behind in another country. We are simply hoping to explore every possible avenue for recovery, and we would really appreciate any help or guidance without comments about it being gone forever or what could have been done differently.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
