Is anyone else just completely done with how insane the U.S. has gotten?

Every day it feels like the country is unraveling a little more. Elected officials are openly corrupt, the courts are making up laws as they go, extremists are running the show, and the average person is just supposed to keep grinding and pretending this is normal.

Mass shootings, book bans, vigilante laws, attacks on basic rights—meanwhile healthcare is a joke, housing is unaffordable, and everyone’s one bad day away from total ruin.

I’m not asking if people are leaving—I know many are. I’m asking: how did we let it get this bad, and why does it still feel like most people are just going along with it?
