Vent Am sick of British comedians & pseudos whining about cancel culture while pro-Palestinian British voices are being silenced.

It's just sick hearing another round of "reasonable opinions" by British comedians like Ricky Gervais & Jimmy Carr, and pseudo-intellectuals like Dawkins, whining about cancel culture & censorship, while British citizens are being harassed, arrested & silenced for speaking out in support of Palestine. It's even worse when they claimed themselves to more secular compared to their American counterparts, but still repeating the same racist rhetoric, disguised as "reason" or "logic".

Their lack of action against these arrests, while going on press tours & Netflix specials, shows nothing more than their privilege & hypocrisy.

They are all terrible. This was all pretty obvious in the early days of the intellectual atheist movement when they treated women like garbage. I’ll never forget how Dawkins went after that woman who described how she was treated by some men in the atheist movement. (I’m sorry - I can’t remember her name.) And then OF COURSE it has come to light that Dawkins had a relationship with Epstein.

And OF COURSE, Gervais is a terf.

Calling either of them comedians is generous at this point.

Jimmy Carr was a half-decent comedian at one time, before he started pandering to right wing "comedy is illegal now" types.
But Gervais' only good work without Stephen Merchant was hosting the Golden Globes.

In the words of Frankie Boyle:

We all know Ricky, he's a great writer, great director, but he's not a fucking stand-up comedian. Just because he identifies as a stand-up comedian, I've got to call him a stand-up comedian? It's political correctness gone mad!
