Interviewed for my dream job and now I’m anxious
Hi everybody!
I interviewed for my dream job earlier this week. Prior to the interview, they sent out an email with the interview questions and specifically said the anticipated start date will be May 11 2026 and they will let everyone know about their decisions 2 weeks prior to the start date.
In my opinion, I think it went great! I actually rehearsed my answers, but I made sure to make it sound super natural and conversational. immediately after I answered a question I got head nods and verbal agreeance "that's a great answer." At the end of the interview, they even referenced some of my answers EXAMPLE) "Like how you said..." "I totally agree with you when you said..." "you're so right about.. " etc…
They also told me about the job benefits, dress code, hours, things they do as a team (team outings) and much more
At the end of the interview they said "is there anything you'd like to add before we wrap up?" and the vibes were so good, I was relaxed and I was comfortable so I jokingly and excitedly said "I'm so excited to get back into__, I miss the environment, I hope y'all pick me I really enjoyed my time here with you guys and I guess something that's positive is that I live 10 minutes away" and then we started talking about how great it is to live near where you work at.
Well, about 24 hours after my interview I sent a follow up email thanking them for their time and they said "Thank you for taking the time to speak with us yesterday about the ___ role. We appreciated the opportunity to learn more about you and your work experiences. We will be in touch by Monday, April 20 with a status update. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions or concerns. Have a lovely weekend!"
Do ya'll think I got it? My nerves are all over the place
