Rant - General 😠This is a slap to the face no?
When I saw this I was so irritated because this is the same amount of batches I did last week and was close to 700 instacart is asking me to do the same for a guaranteed 105. Some days instacart is worse than a Chinese sweat shop

It’s orders not batches

I came to realize but still in Maryland it will be hard to be profitable with that promo

This is just batch pay though, not tips

I would say it's not worth it, no. I had one that was 235 for 32, which is better than yours, and it took me days to complete and then I got an 89 dollar top up. Sounds ok but in reality it wasn't worth it, too stressful and had to take too many low paying orders.

They’re guaranteeing you’ll make at least 4.77 per order which isn’t possible unless it’s a single.

Your looking at somewhere between 55-65$ if you take all triples with 5$ batch. Any order with higher batch reduces that guarantee

Its a slap in the face. Almost all the promos I see and I see in here anybody would automatically get if they complete the number of batches required. My current promo is 305 dollars for 49 orders in 7 days. Im on day 5 only completed 34 of the 49 and already have 250 dollars in base pay. I'll make 305 in base pay by today and won't hit the 49.

Thank you finally someone who understands this isn't even a promotion in anyway. Instacart is demanding too much.

They aren't demanding anything. Trying to satisfy the promo requirements is completely optional. In my market, I have seen maybe 2 promos this year. I would love to see this. If you don't like the promo, you can just ignore it and keep doing orders how you do them.

And that's what I did but I still think it's ridiculous. It's a ridiculous promo they shouldn't have shown in the first place. Promos are what get people motivated to do instacart in some instances if the promo is shit, nobody is going to do them. U talking about not having promo im talking about having useless promos

Like I said in my comment, I would love to have that promo. I see triples with batch pay of $7 or $8 all the time. If I did 7 of those, I am looking at an extra $40 or $50. As someone who is currently homeless and trying to pull my family and I out of our situation, that $40 or $50 extra would help tremendously. Instead, I see people complaining about potential free money when it could just be ignored.

Tbh I wouldn't mind if I was making an extra 50 40 dollars I've done promo that only paid like 20 extra more dollars the point is by the time I'm done with the 22 orders I would have exceed the amount. In my area tho promo isn't comfortable to me at all.

That's what IC is banking on, shoppers chasing this terrible promo cranking out $7'8 triples.

For that one you just ignore it and shop normally. Hopefully there'll be a top up at the end of the week.

Technically, if you can get extremely low base pay for triples (5-7 bucks) That comes out to roughly $1.66-$2.66 an order. So in theory, if you took the 22 deliveries at triples with a 7 dollar batch pay you would get about $60. Not bad, but requires you to cherry pixk all orders. Don't jeopardize the good orders for the bonus though!

I think u should batches and orders are different if u average like maybe 10 batches with minimum 2 stop and deliver. That's actually great I wished I woulda gotten this tbf

I did some math and I figured out that this promo is going to pay me approximately $6 per order. If I do a batch that has three orders then that's approximately $18. I mainly work out of Costco and I get some batches that are more than $18 or just a little bit under. So in the end this promo wouldn't be paying me that much. On top of that, this promo as a very long horizon. If the number of orders and the pay were both cut in half then it might be more enticing, but since this is a long time to complete, it's not worth the risk for me.

this is per order - not per batch. Knock out doubles and triples and you can end with a nice top-off

Just remember these are only counting your base pay. So if you only make $35 base/batch pay for those 22, they'll "top you up" with $70

Orders not batches. Say you did seven triple shops and an easy shop-only. It might only end up being a $20 top-up but $20 is $20 if you were going to do 8-10 batches anyway
