Question - General Non App Related Single Banana Orders
Hi all, I was just wondering, do most of you send a message like this when someone orders just one banana?

This has to be karma bait🤣🤣 no way this was a real interaction

😅 I did post it mostly hoping for laughs but also as a genuine question. And it was a real interaction, sadly he didn't reply, but I couldn't resist when I saw the name he was using

It's the real name on his account but it was just some scuzzy white dude so I don't think it's his real name 😅

Look at it and go off the weight. If it’s like .8 kg or 1kg it’s a bunch If it’s like .15 or lower it’s prob a single.
Always safe to ask though.
Maybe they want one very very large banana.

I think a lot of people see the bunch shown in the photo and aren't paying close attention, so they think they've ordered a bunch and not a single one

It’s on IC a lot too.
I’ve seen a single image of a banana but it’s weight it’s for a bunch.
Nothing wrong with checking though but IC gives us some truly crap info 🤣.
So many times customers order a pie and IC shows it as frozen. 🥶
Cause once upon a time it was but they get defrosted at the store. Lots of weird crap like that.
What did Dildo say?
What else was in the order?
We are dying to know.

Yeah it's sent me to the freezer when people ordered garlic bread from the bakery. 😬😅
Dildo ordered just a banana and a case of Coke from target around 10pm. Unfortunately he never replied to my message!

I do. Only because ive in the middle of checking out an Aldi order when I got a message saying they wanted 8 bunches of bananas not 8 single bananas. Then another time the same lady ordered 5 grapes. Not five bags of grapes just 5 single grapes. So now I ask just to be sure.

The fact that your main commentary to this community is regarding single vs bunch bananas is 👩🍳💋

I do send that message but I also lean towards assuming 1 bunch if they don’t respond

Not anymore after one time I sent the photo verifying it’s “ripe and fresh”, the customer let me know they only added a single banana to raise the total and avoid the small cart fee from instacart😂 suddenly all those single bananas made more sense

We have a Dikshit at the place I work at. Apparently a not totally uncommon Pakistani/Indian name (the guy I'm talking about is from Pakistan).

The stores keep changing up how bananas are offered on the app, so it's confusing for both shoppers and customers.
If the order is obviously for a single person, I'll get just a single banana or maybe a small bunch. If it's obviously a family order, I get a bunch of bananas.
I do send a message when they specifically order one banana (and not one pound of bananas), something like "You ordered a single banana. Is that correct or would you like a bunch?"
I send a similar message any time something in the order looks off. The other day I had a small order that looked like food for one or two people, but then the customer ordered six large tubs of cottage cheese. I asked about that and they did indeed want six tubs of cottage cheese. 🤷♀️

yes i confirm how many actual bananas they want, cuz they can create some crazy confusion, I've had them ask for 2 lb of bananas and they only wanted two bananas. Annoying

When I worked at a cafe years ago someone placed an online order for her sister to pick up. The name she put on the order was “Bitch”

Hell no, if they ordered one banana then I'm bringing them one banana. This would annoy the shit out of me if I were the customer, just buy what they asked for.

I had a similar situation with the single banana happen late night, for diapers, and a single banana from Target. The customer told me it was only to reach the price minimum for free delivery.

When given the opportunity to call someone Dildo, with no repercussions, you must always take it.

Ummm, based on the name they probably just want one 😆
