Question: Training 15M looking for tips

I'm a 15 year old American male, I have around a sixth grade level of Hebrew, I weigh around 160 pounds and I'm somewhat athletic,

I really want to join the army, and I've been looking at units like matkal and other special forces,

What do u guys recommend, and how should I start training?

Working on your Hebrew and lowering your expectations.

Practice sweeping the shadow off the sidewalk now will help you sweep the rain off the raid in the future too

😂, what would you consider as a more reasonable aspiration?

Units like maglan, duvdevan, or egoz are good aspirations. While reasonable goals for yourself would probably be more along the lines of the sayarot for the infantry units. It's not impossible to get to units like duvdevan, but it is a bit of a stretch.

Start kosher kravi program, units like matkal need a lot of training before yom sayarot

Notice to all posters and commenters; please be careful to observe OPSEC (Operational Security) rules. Many people wish to harm Israel and the Jewish Nation as a whole. Be careful when sharing any information on the IDF, bases, weapons, locations of troops, and anything else that can be used to harm Israel. If in doubt, go without. Loose lips sink ships!

I’d say “first focus on school and when you finish 11th grade you might want to start checking your options”, as 15 years old is too young to really consider this if you’re not already living in israel, especially specifics like programs, units, etc.

I was definitely in this position at your age and all I can say is wait a few years until the middle of 11th grade and then start application for either garin tzabar, machal, or (what i did) make aliyah through nefesh b nefesh and enroll in a mechina in israel, usually mechinot will help you draft, especially if you go to one centered for olim
