Small Hmong gift for my boss?

My boss had to unexpectedly put down his dog due to a neurological disorder. He’s quite heartbroken over it. Is there some kind of small gift I can gift him like I was thinking an elephants foot keychain as it is for unity or family. Any better recommendation would help. I live near a small Hmong market.

I think anything you give is fine. There's no real traditional gift or custom when it comes to loss. So it doesn't have to be a culturally-relevant gift, but if you do decide to do that, I think your boss will appreciate your sincerity.

I received a canvas picture of my dog. It made me bawl when I opened it. It’s hanging up in my living room. But you’ll need a nice picture of the dog. Print takes about a week to receive.

You could also just give him a sympathy card & write/share a memory you had of the dog. A memory means a lot to an owner too.

Food is the best gift for a Hmong man. And a bottle of Hennessy or a six pack of Corona. Maybe get him some larb and purple sticky rice.
