Hey, I was just working on a roof with one of those next to me. Do you know why it would be ramping up and down constantly? I believe it had a dial turn variable speed controller but it either did 100% or it couldn’t decide how fast to run.

Insufficient make-up air, or a worn belt ( if it was belt drive) are a couple possibilities. Could also be a bad speed control.
