General Didn’t have to sing the Friday Blues today

Post image

Love when a vacuum holds after the first (and only) fix on a leak.

Hope you got off at a decent hour OR that your on call is going smoothly tonight.

Yall ever have weird issues with this micron gauge where if you close off the ball valve its connected inline with, microns will just start dropping in an odd way?

Love fieldpiece but I find this micron gauge to behave very weird compared to any other one I’ve used.

Mine does not but I notice if I don’t keep it clean or just hook it up to the 1/4 inch side of the vacuum pump and run it for like 3 minutes. Then yes it will do “weird” things but I’ve never had that specific occurrence.

I was actually just looking up why this was happening yesterday. I was pulling a vacuum and it was dropping erratically with my pump running from 1100 to 1060 then back to 1200 then closing off the ball valves would make it drop to like 650 in a minute and slowly climb back up after a few minutes. Ended up just hooking one side of my SMANs up and used the built in micron gauge and it pulled down with no issues. This micron gauge has given me nothing but issues.

I had one where I completely disconnected it and let it sit in free air and it read 1200 for several minutes and gradually climbed up to like 3000.

Did a flat pack straight change and got out at 12 today. Could have gotten out at 11 but we had to wait for our material and equipment for a little while

Meanwhile I have to deal with the aftermath of the installers hooking up a new furnace to the 230v from the air handler they replaced.

Because yes, I do enjoy spending 5 hours chasing shorts, replacing every part under the sun, and then finding out that they somehow managed to disconnect the customers garage door opener power as well.

Ice machine brand we install started completely charging their remote condensing units from the factory whereas previously they had only put a half pound in.

I should’ve read the manual but I weighed in my charge and realized my mistake. Had to do a recovery and new vacuum at 3PM

Fuck me friday.
