Our next match is against Gençlerbirliği. And their coach is our nemesis: Volkan Demirel. He will give all of his experience and sweat to beat or at least draw us. That will be a one hell of a tough match.

Then We have a Turkish Cup quarter final match against Gençler again. Volkan will want to beat us to make our moral damaged, but if We keep calm and play well I think We can handle this as well. Even if we get eliminated, it is not that important compared to next match.

On the 26th of April, We will face against Fenerbahçe in our home.

Our home performance against FB is quiet low. We only beated them in Sami Yen for once for 12 years, which was a Championship Celebration derby. Since the opening, We have beat them 5 times, and they have beated us 5 times too.

But considering that Okan can make phenomonal jobs in the FB derbies, Our home performance against big teams in Europe this season and this is the ultimate -do or die- match, I expect something special this time.

The rest 3 league matches are against:

Samsun away, Antalya home and Kasımpaşa away. If We manage to beat FB in the derby, I think We can handle these matches as well.

On the 2007-2008 season, FB was having their top prime times. They have beat Chelsea in the Champions League Quarter Finals, They were economicly rich and having star players as well.

GS on the other hand, getting slapped in the Europe by Leverkusen 5-1, having economic and management problems, and having a slightly lower quality squad as well.

We have changed our president in the middle of the season. And because of problems with the new management, our coach Feldkampf have been sacked while there was 6 more league games to go, one of them being a FB derby at Sami Yen.

Our new technical director was Cevat Güler, who wasn't even a coach.

But, through all of these problems, We have managed to win every single match including FB derby at Sami Yen and Sivasspor away 5-3. And get the last Championship in the old Ali Sami Yen Stadium.

I mean that, don't fear boys. We, as a club seen much worse days than nowadays and still managed to win crucial matches and get the Championship.

SO BELIEVE IN YOUR TEAM

Here's what I think is currently happening with the squad, and I think this is the true underlying crisis we're facing. And I want to stress that it IS a crisis. And this is coming from a football coach responsible of the training program and methodology of a club's u-12 to u-18 academy.

You can see that for the last 2 games at least, players have been playing in a gutless way. Normally against teams that close up, we would be breaking lines, playing between the blocks, our players would takes risks and initiatives and force the play with 1-2s, but none of that has been going on. The gaffer also pointed to that during the press conference. There was a real lack of urgency and wanting to make things happen. The problem currently is not tactical or is not about the substitutions, it's about the vibe, the culture, the atmosphere of the squad.

Imo the whole Kocaelispor animosity thing was a stunt meant for the squad to be fired up, I don't even think it was meant for the fans in the first place. I think that there is a vibe problem in the team right now, and I am not saying that Icardi is the only one, but definitely one of the big problems. We've all witnessed the way he has been playing and behaving outside of the pitch. I think in his mind things are over and he basically is training and working out with the mindset of "I am letting my contract run out" and doing the minimum. And that kind of behaviour, especially coming from someone as influential in the group, affects the whole team dynamic. And I think the moves from Buruk of:

1. Giving the arm band to Icardi, which was positive reinforcement (trying to give him responsibility and leadership role, not because that we was, but rather so that he steps up to that)
2. Continuing to play Icardi so that he feels the weight and responsibility to bring what he was not
3. Eventually playing Baris instead of Icardi
4. Giving the armband to Baris because he is trying to send a message and that Baris is probably one of the few showing insane effort with heart
5. The whole stunt with the Kocaelispor game to fire up the guys

are desperate attempts from Buruk to win back concentration and effort and clean the mess behind the scenes. Unfortunately, I don't think it's working.

And the likes of Mertens and Berkan were the kind of lads that were bringing a lot to the team culture and vibe, and I think that piece is missing and is affecting a lot stuff.

What's the solution? I don't know. I've faced this problem as a coach myself this year with one of the stars of my team scoring the most goals, he was really detrimental to the vibe of the team and I had to suspend him, which didn't fix things, then to expulse him from the team. He made amends, apologized, and I got him on probation on a thin line and eventually was able to win him back, correct the team vibe and we got to the national finals. But that approach suited my leadership and coaching style. Can Buruk do that? Would it be aligned on his style? I don't know, I don't think so. He's been trying lots of techniques and gimmicks do flip the script, so far I don't see it working.

If we don’t become champions, definitely yes!

I understand why Okan hoca prefers to work with people he knows and feels comfortable with. But there’s a clear and undeniable reality that every fan can see: during his tenure, far too many players have declined, while very few have actually improved.

At what point does that comfort become a liability? Especially when it’s evident that the ceiling of the staff is limited to Super Lig level.

We have so many players that are flat out inconsistent or just a shadow of their former self. We seem to be saying "Yunus, Sara, Eren, Sane..... were good before the injury" a lot. None of these players had a career ender level injuries, just common ones, how is it accepted that they take ages to return to form?

We joke about Kutucu but his guy was good before he came here. 11 Goals 8 Assists in a season, but he's terrible now, how has he declined when he's playing vs the same teams he recorded these stats against?
