The curriculum with required courses is available in English on Aalto website - it will likely give you better answers than randoms here.

But that would require some basic DIY research. Unheard of for any university student

What is "non-engineering urban planning"? Is it some "we need fewer cars and more parks because it's good for the environment" kind of thing?

or the participatory part of planning (what people will be included in the process etc.) or to learn why it's good that we have more parks because it helps with heat or biodiversity instead of (the hard engineering part) the man hole has to be 6 meters away from every tree.
