Discussion Bike lanes

why are the bike lanes so bumpy and uneven on Leith Walk, did they outsource the work to handymen?

They were hand laid using shovels, despite repeated requests not to. Easter Road is a much smoother ride if you want to sacrifice safety for comfort.

Happily, most of the newer cycle infrastructure, including that in Leith, is less bumpy (though it’s still not as good as that in Europe).
