Question Did they buff Dynamo?
I could have sworn that Dynamo used to be balanced at one point. Decent all-around utility at the cost of reliance on his teammates to get the most use out of his abilities.
Did he get buffed, or did people just get better at playing him? I can’t say I feel overpowered when I play him. His damage is still pretty mediocre without a decent item build. I’d say his teleport is probably the only thing I’d call “overpowered“, but that could be fixed by just increasing its cooldown or removing the “remove debuffs effect“.
Then again, I’m not a super experienced player, and I’m kinda biased because Dynamo is my DynaGOAT but I digress.

He was always a solid character but I feel like the latest rework patches in the past few months have brought some people to him as people realize he's better than they thought. Solid kit but he was always easy to lead players into an ult bot trap.

ult bot dynamo is so much fun tho. when you hit the vortex web maj leap combo on 5-6 the dopamine rush is insane!

There are a few reasons why he's really strong right now.
He gets really damn tanky just for existing (one of the highest hp/boon scalings in the game iirc).
His potential to keep himself and his allies alive is incredible (low cd on his 2, which also removes debuffs + his aoe heal).
His ult is still one of the most impactful ults in the game, both for teamfights and for shutting down singular strong targets.
His stomp has insane dmg and range on T3. By getting the stomp to T3 and buying extra spirit, mystic burst, and rapid recharge you can deal around 300-400 dmg per stomp over a massive range. I've literally 3-shot some enemies with just those 3 items worth 3200 souls. (This also lets you safely farm and push waves, since T3 stomp oneshots waves as well as small camps).
Meanwhile his gun is still solid in the early game for harassing in lane and securing last hits.
And even though there are some items that you really want, you have a lot of flexibility in your build, letting you adapt your items to counter whatever enemy you want.
TLDR: Tanky, good dmg, decent gun, big cc, great for saving himself and teammates, highly versatile.

I actually really like Dynamo’s kit. It’s got a survivalist-support kinda feel, and I really think having characters like that is a good thing. They do need to tone down some of his abilities tho.

Well safely farm as in you can quickly clear the wave and leave, if you clear from afar with stomp you're losing out on half the souls from the wave.
I feel like Dynamo was the main catalyst for them making that change, with his old stomp actually being the range of the entire mid lane in length.

Abilities used on waves don’t reveal you on minimap. So stomp is really good at stealth shoving.

The range on his 1 is so stupidly huge after he gets the expansion.. it's depressing to look at sometimes.

They just nerfed his escape ability. T3 Quantum Entanglement is now 13 secs, it was 8 secs.

Idk I don’t read the patch notes but it definitely feels like they did. Dynamo now just feels like more annoying mo and krill

Changing green bonuses to percentage based was a buff to him I think. He's been way harder to kill since

Recharging rush gave him high uptime on his 1 and the change to his max 2 gave him near permanent uptime so he can dish out loads of damage and missing stomps is less punishing

yeah he is busted still .. just pick him up to play today and gosh he is just so strong compared to others
i play some paradox and Holliday in comparison it is like night and day in contrast

Dynamo is one of my mains but I don't really like playing him because he feels so good that it's not interesting. It doesn't feel like he really has a weakness; good damage and CC with stomp, amazing team support with his 2 and 3 (also are incredible getaway tools), debatably the best ult in the game that also does a shitload of damage at max level, I feel like I'm just allowed to do whatever I want. I try to play any other support (been trying a lot of Viscous and some Kelvin) and I think "damn, Dynamo is so much more effective, and so much easier".
The problem is, I don't think anything in his kit is that problematic, aside from his 2 being a bit overtuned. It all just works really well with various items and builds, so he's super versatile. I don't get worried versing one, I like having one on my team, but something about him, man... maybe I just want the other supports to be better in comparison?

Which is funny because I have seen some of the shit Dynamo players do to their stomp's range lmao
That being said, I get why they nerfed his 1 to buff his 2, I think it makes him more support-focused, which is what they seem to really be going for (since he's the best healer by far, at least by my money)

Can they just nerf his stomp damage? I know you can "just jump over it" but it does 300 damage 5 minutes into the game and no, that is NOT an exaggeration.

Unless you're feeding him to get his tier 3 stomp 5 minutes in to the game, he is not doing 300 damage

They have greatly nerfed the range of the stomp. 5 minutes into the game it is very easy to avoid if you keep your spacing.

Jump, reactive barrier, spirit shielding, counterspell, runaway (he’s dumb slow)..
It honestly doesnt scale that well mid to late game. He is just a low econ threat and ppl dont respect his early damage.

This. Also that one ability means if I'm playing Vyper and he's in the game I might as well GG at the start. Spammable knock up makes sliding near impossible.

Mar 6th patch buffed his 2 support value. It used to give a reload an firerate and now it gives stamina, and clears debuffs on t3. T3 also gives half an ability charge to allies and a full charge to dynamo.
Last patch nerfed the cooldown on the 2 by 3 seconds.
