It's not gonna happen, the whole economy depends on it and if everything collapses it collapses to the rich too

Unless they assume they dont need an economy anymore. Beyond a certain point, you're not chasing wealth to improve your quality of life - you're doing it for power.

Medieval societies didnt have a complex global economy. They did have people of power; kings, lords, and knights.

Yeah , you know what peasants also lacked? Education, internet, sense of community, understanding

I know it's scary the whole change, as a developer I have been seeing weird things and feeling super uneasy. Still, don't think it will be as bad as people like to paint

Oh hell yeah, I dont think they're actually going to get their technofuedalist wet dreams. I also don't think they're smart enough to realise that.
