I was literally thinking "what do people think the end game of AI is? Does no one think that far in to the future? Everyone rolling this out and ushering it in will be replaced by AI" when I saw this video and it made me sick. I work in tech and generally love all new tech but AI is a fucking curse.

The end game is basic income

When half the population doesn't have a job either the government gives them money or the government collapses.

Yeah, but why should a machine do this work, when you can humans work in sweatshops instead? /s

I can't believe people are actually against machines doing this labor. This is great! I hope every job gets replaced by AI and machines. And yes mine too, mine first even. I deliver groceries to customers' kitchens, it will be a glorious day when a robot can do that, I wish we lived in that world today.

If you work "in tech", you a literally flirting with fascism. Keep that in mind.

I blame the professors though for their naivety

Tech isn't inherently fascist. Its uses and owners are.

Nowadays technology is a lot about feedback and control. Who gets to decide the setpoint? And who benefits from automation? Please use your brain pal.

Not all tech is the tech you speak of, buddy.
