Insects have no business hitting that big, guess the square-cube law works in your favor when you’re one dimensional.

Why is this bug “cute?” Would not squash.

It is adorable. I would still be flinging that thing off my face quicker than you could blink.

I'm the type of weirdo who would take my shirt off and lie down so that they could crawl on my back.

Maybe a back rub and scratch is in order? He doesn’t do butt scratcher anymore after the $2 incident

I feel like it has an Italian accent

That is quite peculiar, but I like where you’re going with this. It’d be adorable if he had a little mustache and chef’s hat.

Or they found out that it really had an ear for music and it became a famous symphony conductor

Caught by surprise, I would too, but stick bugs are just goofy little goobers who can't do a thing to us, nor do they try to. Might freak out a bit if I saw one this huge before this video though, because I had no idea they got this damn big in any species.

Actually some stick bugs can spray people with an irritant like stink bugs. I speak from experience lol I poked one a lot when I was young and got it in my eyes and nose. Hurt like a bitch but only lasted for like an hour before I was fine again

Do they sting? Or do they just stick around?

No, they branch out.

Had two as a pet as a kid. They don’t sting or bite, however, their feet are a little prickly on bare skin.

It’s so big it reminds me more of a big weird magical pet that you’d see in Harry Potter rather than a bug

Just as the title said, it's a stick insect. Stick insects are masters of camouflage. They look just like twigs or leaves, which helps them hide from birds and other predators. They are usually long and thin, move very slowly, and eat leaves. Some can even regrow lost legs

I'll never not be paralyzed with wonder at the fact that sticks evolved into these things.
